EFP Circular # 8 Minimum Wage

Update on the Minimum Wage Case in the Supreme Court

We would like to inform our members and petitioner companies that the appeal filed
in the Supreme Court in the minimum wage case was fixed on 12th January 2022.
However, due to non-availability of a Judge, the Bench was dissolved and the case
could not be heard.
A new date will be fixed for the case by the Supreme Court and we will update the
members accordingly.
Companies that were a party to the petition in the Sindh High Court and have not yet
filed their Appeal in the Supreme Court, are advised to immediately approach the EFP
Secretariat with necessary documents so that they may be made parties to the Appeal
in the Supreme Court.
Even those companies which were not a party to the Sindh High Court case but want
to be a party in the Appeal in Supreme Court, are also advised to immediately
approach EFP along with required documents so that they may be made parties to the
Appeal in the Supreme Court.
EFP is available for every possible assistance in the matter.
