expansion.
2. Check whether the matrix A is strictly diagonally dominant or not.
Solution:
Apply the row operation R3-R1,

Now we do cofactor expansion along column 4,

Apply the row operation R2+3R1 in R2,

Now we do cofactor expansion along column 2,


2. A square matrix A is said to be strictly diagonally dominant if the absolute value of each
diagonal entry exceeds the sum of the absolute values of the other entries in the same
row. Firstly check for row 1.

So the matrix A is not strictly diagonally dominant.
