Job title: Quality Planning Engineer (NPI)

Objectives of job
Set up testing concepts to check the quality standards as well as to improve existing test procedures.
To support the NPI Quality Interior Project Manager implementing the defined plans through development to
series.

Principle activities
Create/develop and implement specify quality concepts and actions to assure the stated quality standards
for new developments in agreement with the departments right up to successful transfer to the series
production plant for new developments, in cooperation with the departments
Analyse internal quality problems
Introduce and monitor quality processes
Review effectiveness; introduce corrective actions as required
Make decisions on quality in borderline and special cases
Arrange for and supervise actions (e.g. rework programs, delivery suspensions, etc.); in
cooperation with other departments as required
Prepare and lead quality meetings intern and with suppliers / service providers
Cooperate in supporting suppliers with regard to quality standards and quality assurance, and
develop concepts in the overall analysis
Further develop existing processes, methods and test equipment (e.g. within the scope of carrying out a
Keyuser function across the projects on a complex subject specific to the quality area.
Define requirements for parts (requirements management)
Support risk evaluation for design, product and process (FMEA)
Participate in maturity measurement for product and process
Create inspection plans (e.g. product and process, etc.)
Determine inspection methods (e.g. statistical process control, inspection severity, measurement methods,
measurement equipment, etc.)
Participate in planning and implementing external and internal process audits
Coordinate and conduct initial samplings to the customer
Determine actions for quality problems
Train and support associates with test processes
Evaluate information on quality-relevant data; develop concepts for quality improvement
Create and manage quality handbooks
