Re: Submission of S-Mark Initial Certification Audit Report
Rwanda Standards Board (RSB) is pleased to submit to you the report for S- Mark Initial
Certification Audit that was conducted at your premises on 13th July,2022.

The audit objective was to assess the compliance of HDPE PN 6, PN 10, PN12.5, PN16, PN 20 and
PN25 with relevant standards and S-Mark certification requirements.

During the audit, the identified positive findings and areas of improvement were discussed with the
company’s management. The Samples of PN 10 DN 110mm, PN 16 DN 90mm, PN 20 DN 50mm
and PN 25 DN 50mm were randomly collected from factory and submitted to RSB Laboratories for
testing the dimensions (outside diameter and wall thickness), Hydrostatic pressure test and chemical
composition (Lead content, Cadmium content, Mercury content and Arsenic Content). The test
results have shown that all the samples of PLASMACO pipes passed for all tested parameters except
the failure observed in lead as per attached test reports.

Therefore, RSB hereby requests you to address the raised areas of improvement and failed
parameters to ensure the effective compliance with relevant standards and certification
requirements.
