Objectives

The objectives for this reflective writing is to demonstrate the student's understanding of
learning related to IMC451 course. In addition, it helps students understand each topic in a
particular chapter. With this assignment, students can choose a topic and do a research
related with this topic.

In addition, this assignment helped me also in strengthen and increase my knowledge in

the chosen topic. In a same time, I was able to recognize where my weaknesses were in the
subject.
Analysis

1) Description

TOPIC 2 : Organization of information in different environments

Under the organization of information, I have chosen topic 2 which is organization of

information in different environments .In this topic, I have learned about a few types of
information agencies that available around the world. The main information agencies that
usually people know is such as library, art galleries, archive, record center and so on. We all
know that information agencies is really important to collecting, storing, processing, creating
and identifying information. As an example, consider museums. A museum's objective is to
depict history in a physical form so that we can better comprehend it. These encounters
cannot be replaced by technology. It is simple to visualise and look at images of something,
but seeing and touching it in person builds a closer connection to history. Apart from having
information agencies in a physical place, it also has digital libraries which is a collection of
digital information resources that have been selected, gathered, organised and preserved for
a specific community of users and to which access is provided via digital .

2) Benefits

Next, organization of information in different environments is really important to public

especially information agencies. The benefits of information agencies is make it easier for
the community to find information and reference sources where information agencies are.
For example, the library provides many reading materials that can be used by all
communities of all ages to do research or reference in learning. Institution or institution that
organises and offers information, as well as resources and services to users, so that it may
be retrieved for multiple purposes. However with the existence of digital libraries, it can
facilitate the affairs of students who want to find information by just having to browse the old
web digital libraries. They can also access the source of information to be used.

Limitations and logical inconsistencies

1) Limitations

During I studied this subject in an online distance learning, it made it very difficult for me to
understand some of the subheadings in the chapter. I need to concentrate more on this
subject in order for me to better understand it . Furthermore, this subject has things I didn't
know before. This is a new challenge for me to face it successfully.
In my opinion, this time there is no need for any improvement because it is a complete
knowledge and very good only . I need to be more focused and diligent in reviewing and
making references for titles that are not understood.

2) Applications

This topic 2 show us that digital libraries help public to find out their information with easily
.Everybody will choose digital libraries to find the information everywhere and everytime.
This is because it provides many reference and reading materials in various forms such as
PNG,GIF,PCD and so on. This topic is really helpful because it also show us how to create a
digital library and content refers to the data and materials that the digital library manages
and makes available to its users. The definition of the stored information is referred to as
metadata or properties. Documents, images, music, databases, video, and combinations of
the foregoing can all be expressed digitally. Any digital "object" must be identified by a
name, a time stamp and the owner in order to be legally owned

Personal reflections

1) Initial reaction

My first assumption when I first learned this title was very difficult and had a lot to keep in
mind, However when I entered the first day of studying it I was able to identify that this topic
was very helpful and useful to me. Furthermore, what was discussed in this topic is what we
actually know in advance but just not too much of a medal, it helps me by making a very
positive impression because I can find out the way how to collect, store, processing, create
and identify information. The information that discussed in this topic makes me want to know
it even more thoroughly. Although I study only online but I will look for other ways to gain
knowledge related to the topic. Online learning will not be one of the reasons for me to be
lazy to study and review.

Through this topic 2 , I can also identify there are actually many information agencies that
we can use to get information. Generally every human being only knows the library as a
source of information when in fact we can use museums, art galleries, information centers
and so on to get more information. The source of information stored is also correct and
secure information throughout the information agencies around the world.

In fact, what is stated in topic 2 is one of the things that is very important to each person.
They also need to know a convenient and time-saving way to acquire information. So these
information agencies are very important in the community of the world and they need to
provide more accessible information.
