Objective
This assignment aims to show my experience and understanding in these lessons.
This subject can apply in my daily life about what I have learned in this class. Moreover, the
purpose of this reflective writings is to help all student to find out more deeply about this
topic of organization of information (IMC451)

Description:
The topic that I have study in this subject is topic 1, topic 2, topic 3 and topic 4.
Topic 4 until 7 were going to learn. First topic is mentioned about Introduction to
organization of information. The second topic is mentioned about "Different environment
organization of information". This topic is discussed about definitions of information agency,
types of information agency and describe functions of different organization agencies. The
topic relates to course outcomes which is information need to know to everyone, they need
know how to find the information through information agencies.
Other than that, the topic 3 is discuss about "Bibliographic control". What do I know
about this topic is definition of bibliographic control, process of bibliographic control, and
purpose of bibliographic control. This topic also connects with my course to record all
information or arranged the information.
The fourth topic is discussing about retrieval tools. Retrieval tools is systems create
retrieving information. Lastly, the next topic I will learn is topic 5 until topic 7. Topic five is
discuss about bibliographic control. It is continued to topic 3. It is discuses about purpose
and level of bibliographic control. Topic 6 is discuses about bibliographic activities and
indexing and abstracting.

Benefits:
The different environment organization of information contribute to society. The
institution or center to organize and provide information so that it will be retrievable for
various purpose and provide resources and service to users. Topic 2 makes so great
because we can know various types of information agencies to society. The strength of this
topic is we can know all the items that we need to find or to record the information.
Examples, we know about the record center, library, museum, knowledge center,
information resources center, archive and digital library and archives. All this place punction
to keep the information about development or another information. Topic 2 important to me
because that can be use as process capturing, transferring valuable knowledge, and
sharing the information for the organization successfulness. Then, we need to improve the
quality of this subject by encouraging all students to visit the agencies that country have for
give more experience to all student of information management. Next, I want to sha re
some specific about topic 2, which is the first organizations for future civilization is library.
The activity that library do is arrange and classify, cataloguing and classification process
and machine-readable format. Arrange and classification is arranged by alphabet.
Next, in the topic is about bibliographic control. This topic contributes to society
because this term covers a range of bibliographic activities, including complete records of
bibliographic items as published. this topic so great because I can learn western civilization
manage their information. For instance, Greek civilization has contributed to the information
of the "main entry" concept, a western civilization manifestation.

Limitations and logical inconsistencies:

I think this topic could be improved because there has some weakness when I learn
this topic. I can not memorize the date of published bibliographic and when they contribute
the information to civilization.

Applications:
The real meaning for the whole topic is about organization of information. It is
discussing about information agency and how to store and organize the information, how to
use reference materials and how to keep materials in development safely. The specific
topic that I have learn is about information agency and more specific to bibliographic
control. In the information agency, they arrange and make a classification for the new
materials. I learn how the process of classification and cataloguing. Moreover, I get to know
the author of the work and I can analysis the subject. Subject analysis can control
vocabulary terms. So, this subject is useful because they can make it easier to find the
information. Examples, digital libraries and archive. This is collection of information
resources in digital form. Example of digital library is Petronas resources center and virtual
library.

Personal reflection

Initial reaction:

When I learn this topic, I found it could excite because I can know the another of
civilization but still has difficult and challenging to understand each topic. What I have
learned is all information need to organize, what does agency organize the information for
example organizing information in archives. They have two basic principles which is
provenance and original order. Provenance is originator who create the record. We call the
main ownership history of a particular artifact that created gathered or maintained the
collection before it was sent to archive. Original order is the sequence in which the
originator and archival collection kept or created the collection. The materials arrange
follow the original order. Which arrange by date.

My impression of this topic is, I think it is quite nice, because I could understand
what they try to be explained. Another impression is about bibliographic control, I think the
topic is quite long. I need to study in more dept because this topic brings me a bit
confusing. I hope I can catch up the topic during my lecturer teach our class. I should
remember the division of title and need to make a revision before starting my class.
Sometimes I feel it quite difficult because I can not understand or memorize the key word of
the topic. For the next class I wish I could find how to remember the keyword. So, my
target, I need to change how I study to make sure I enjoy and get all the topic. Sometimes,
as a student I quite jealousy to all my friend because they understand what they have learn.
But I believe I can be like my friend if I study early about this topic. For instance, I do the
revision, do some notes, and explore the topic before starting the class.

In real life, I see this topic is function to everyone life. For examples, everyone needs
to find the materials to complete their task or making decision. This subject is related with
all workers including government, student, researcher and public.

Honestly, I love to read books. This topic can relate to my ambition to have a one
bookstore. So, this topic brings me idea and guide me how to organize the information or
how to organize the bookstore. I think bookstore also need a unique item and need to find
resources from the other author. So, this subject gives me opportunity to understand how
information organize.

From what I have learned, the question always blow in my mind is does the
bibliographic control is related to information agencies? This question confusing me
because most topic is quite same for examples process of bibliographic control and
retrieval tools. I hope I can get the answer as soon as possible before starting my class.
