    Week 3: The Interview

    1. Have you ever been to a job interview? If yes, how did you prepare for it? If no, how are you
    going to prepare?
    Honestly, I’ve never been in a job interview but I know how it is. I usually saw lots of videos
    in Tiktok giving tips on how to ace the job interview and it get me really interesting for my
    future. So if I’m going to apply and will undergo job interview the things that I need to
    prepare are: first to do research about the company and need to read the job description
    – I need to collect information about the history and values of the company. In job
    interviews I need to sell myself for me to get hired, so it is a big advantage if I have a
    knowledge about the company. Secondly, when answering I need to use the star method
    (situation, task, action, and result), to have a detailed answer to specific questions and to
    organize your ideas despite of nervousness. Lastly, search for any possible questions and
    try constructing answer, don’t forget to always be prepared and be yourself always.

    2. Why the video is titled “This is the worst job interview?” Do you consider the scenario as the worst
    job interview? Justify your answer.
    From my point of view, the video’s titled as the worst job interview because the HR gives
    an out of the box requirements to be fit in the position. The interviewer makes you feel
    like you’re not worthy to the position and don’t want to recruit. It is also an unethical
    behavior of answering some calls while in a middle of the interview, it is very
    disrespectful. But if you ask me if it is the worst interview, I would answer no because
    that’s the reality. There’s more terrible situation in a job interview.

    3. In your opinion, what are the things that the interviewee could have done to avoid being in that
    situation?
    If you don’t really want to be in this kind of situation, the first thing you need to do is to
    search thoroughly. Research every details about the company especially the job
    description for you to have an idea if you are qualified or not. That’s the least thing you
    need to do, to avoid being in this kind of situation.
