Week 11: The Beauty of Conflict

1. Do you think communication is enough in solving a conflict? Justify your answer.


 Communication is not enough in solving conflicts it should be affiliated with
comprehension and setting rules by how to interact. Comprehension is what makes us
advocates for ourselves and our families. Being able to read and understand through
communication empowers us to make decision in our life.

2. Why does the speaker want us to view conflict positively? What can we get from adopting this
point of view?
 To create change – build a good relationship and tighten the relationship towards people
that dear to you. Change within ourselves and viewing conflicts to build the foundation
of trust.

3. What are the three (3) keys enumerated by the speaker in solving a conflict? Think of a conflict
that you are experiencing currently and how to use these “keys”.
 The three (3) keys are: Recognize what the conflicts really about, Recognizing when you’re
stuck, Started to speak responsibly.
Conflict with friends and the key that I usually use is to speak responsibly. Because once
said we cannot take it back anymore. So speak responsibly.

4. What does VOCAB mean? How are these concepts important in solving your conflicts in life?
 VOCAB stands for vulnerability, ownership, communication, acceptance and boundaries.
This method is important because as you practice it, this method create the changes that
everybody wants – in themselves, in a relationship, and in the world. Creating
conversation for change.
