The legal issue is whether zara has bound a contract with mia when she wants to buy the
orange nor she have revoke the offer after she know the new price? Does mia need to sell

offer. The goods on shelves was just invitation to treat not an offer. When customer put the
goods at the counter that were the offer. Acceptance were by the cashier or seller. If they
take the money meaning they have make an accept or if the seller and cashier doesn’t want
to take the money meaning they have revoke the offer.
In mia and zara situation, zara have revoke the offer from mia when she hear the new price
and not like the price she read on the display. That means mia doesn’t need to sell the
orange at the price on the display because it just invitation to treat.
The conclusion, advertisement front the shop was just invitation to treat. The offer will be
when customer were making payment toward the seller or cashier. Even if there were price
tag written at the goods itself, it means there just invitation to treat and not an offer.
Customer are not bound to a contract until they come to the seller to make payments.
