     We use the Past Simple for talking about habits in
    the past
     REMEMBER! We have two types of verbs:
     Regular verbs  -ed
     Irregular verbs  2nd column (list)

    AFFIRMATIVE

    Structure

    subject + verb (past) + complement

    Examples

    I went to the park

    I played a football match yesterday

    NEGATIVE

    Structure

    subject + didn’t + verb (infinitive) + complement

    Examples

    I didn’t go to the park

    I didn’t play a football match yesterday
