spanish word lute, plectrum plucked chordophone with 12 stings in pairs similar to Bandurria but
longer neck

it is like a small guitar with a shorter neck, with 14 strings and 16 frets, played like laud and
unison with bass notes serves as the alto of the rondalla.

Agung - like in Mindoro, the people in Palawan also use gongs. The young ladies dance to
sound of gongs. It consist of two suspended gongs with boss.

Sanang - pair of small gongs

Gimbal - is an important Mandaya instrument used in all ceremonies and rituals. It is made from
the skin of a deer, with one side from a male and the other from a female deer.
Pagang
It is a bamboo zither made from a single-bamboo piece.

Batiwtiw is a 40cm bamboo instrument from Mindoro played by striking the split end of the
bamboo against the left palm.
