I. Objectives:
At the end of this lesson, the student will be able to:

a. distinguish the different types of interviews;


b. share interest by actively participating in the discussion; and
c. conduct different types of interviews in group works.

A.) ACTIVITY:
 Motivation:
 Talk Show
Name of the Show: (TSS: Today with the Students Show)
1. The teacher will divide the class into two groups.
2. In each group, the teacher will distribute a piece of paper that contains
questions.
3. The students will read the questions and answer it in front of the class
and act as if they are on a talk show. But before that they will first
introduce their hosts and guests of their show and open some fun topics
to formally start the show and start asking fun questions. (By Group)
4. Fun questions that will be asks and answer by the students during the
talk show:
-What would you name your boat if you had one?
-Who is the messiest person you know?
-What’s the most useless talent you have?
-What celebrity would you rate as a perfect 10?
-Which fictional character would be the most boring to meet in real
life?

5. Motive Questions:
-What can you say about the activity?
-What do you think is our topic for today based on the activity?

1.) Interview:
- An interview is essentially a structured conversation where one participant asks
questions, and the other provides answers.
2.) 8 Major Types of Interviews:
 Informational Interview. - In an informational interview the objective is to
seek advice and learn more about a particular employer, sector or job.
Interviewing experts in their field is one more way to add to your employment
knowledge base.
 Screening or Telephone Interview. - Phone interviews – these types of
interviews are proving to be a more cost-effective way to screen candidates.
Slots range from 10 to 30 minutes.
 Individual Interview. - Often referred to as a “personal interview” this is the
most common type of interview and is usually held face to face at the
company’s offices. Find out the approximate length of the interview in order
to prepare; they range from 30 to 90 minutes.
 Small Group or Committee Interview. - These types of interviews mean
meeting a panel of decision makers at once. This can be daunting and
intimidating if you are not well prepared in advance.
 The Second or On-Site Interview. - The second interview means you have
been successful on the first occasion and they would like to know more. As a
result, these types of interviews can be longer, some lasting half or a full-day.
 Behavioral-Based Interview. - Known as Critical Behavioral Interviewing
(CBI), the theory is that past performance in a similar situation is the best
predictor of future performance.
 Task Oriented or Testing Interview. - These types of interviews are
structured in a way that allows you to demonstrate your creative and
analytical abilities in problem solving through varied tasks or exercises.
 Stress Interview. - This method of interview is rare and involves the
interviewer baiting you to see your response. The aim is to highlight your
weaknesses and see how you react under pressure.

C.) APPLICATION:

 The students will be divided into 8 groups and each group will be assigned in
different types of interviews. The types of interviews that will be assigned in each
group are the types that they are going to show in roleplay.
 They will create a role play that will show the different types of interviews.
