Welcome to TLE/TVL – ICT (Animation)!

The Learning Activity Sheet is a product of the collaborative efforts of the

Schools Division of Iloilo and DepEd Regional Office VI - Western Visayas through
the Curriculum and Learning Management Division (CLMD). This is developed to
guide the learning facilitators (teachers, parents, and responsible adults) in helping
the learners meet the standards set by the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum.

The Learning Activity Sheet is self-directed instructional materials aimed to

guide the learners in accomplishing activities at their own pace and time using the
contextualized resources in the community. This will also assist the learners in
acquiring the lifelong learning skills, knowledge and attitudes for productivity and
employment.

For learning facilitator:

3
The TLE/TVL - ICT (Animation) Activity Sheet will help you facilitate the
teaching-learning activities specified in each Most Essential Learning Competency
(MELC) with minimal or no face-to-face encounter between you and learner. This will
be made available to the learners with the references/links to ease the independent
learning.

For the learner:

The TLE/TVL - ICT (Animation) Activity Sheet is developed to help you

continue learning even if you are not in school. This learning material provides you
with meaningful and engaging activities for independent learning. Being an active
learner, carefully read and understand the instructions then perform the activities and
answer the assessments. This will be returned to your facilitator on the agreed
schedule.

Identify Requirements for Cleaned-Up Drawings in Actual Scene Folders

I. Learning Competency

LO 1. Identify requirements for cleaned-up drawings in actual scene

folders (cartoon-simple)
(TLE_ICTAN9- 12CI-IIa-j-1)

1.1 Identify all relevant cleaned - up requirements from the

appropriate source material

II. Background Information for Learners

Clean-up is a process of creating a final drawing based on the

animator’s rough key drawing. In traditional animation, animators draw the
first drawings known as rough key drawings. Rough key drawings are the
preliminary sketch of the object and often done in a very loose fashion. If the
animation, is successfully tested and approved by the director, clean-up
artists will now proceed in cleaning up the rough key drawings.
Clean- up artist/ assistant animator is responsible for cleaning up the
rough key drawings produced by the animator. From the rough sketches of
the character’s poses and expressions, they must closely adhere the model
sheets, follow the keys, character design instructions, proportions, tiniest
details based on the production materials.
Clean up drawings are the clean and finely rendered line art versions
of the key drawings. Requirements for clean- up drawings are materials
needed to render the key animation into final line art form prior to in
betweening. The key animation drawings and other related materials and
references are stored in the scene folder to aid the clean- up artist and the in
betweener to accomplish their tasks.
