RELATED CONCERN/ PROBLEMS

NURSING
 All ICU staff are reminded to do proper checking of the crash cart file checklist and
narcotic medication every shift even if no patient.
 ICU Morning staff will render their duty in Surgical Ward and ER if no patient is in ICU.
 Surgical Ward staff came for duty in ICU for help if needed.
 ARYA – WILL GO ON ANNUAL LEAVE FROM APRIL 10, 2022 TO JUNE 02, 2022.
 ANILA – WITH A PLAN TO GO EXIT IN AUGUST (WITH PERMISSION FROM THE
COMPANY).
 URGENT NEED OF ADDITIONAL STAFF IN ICU AS WITH REMAINING STAFF OF 3 (1
IN CHARGE AND 2 STAFF), WHEN 1 STAFF IS ON VACATION AND 5 MONTHS LATER
(AUGUST) 1 STAFF WILL GO EXIT.

ADMINISTRATION  All ICU doctors reported on duty regularly; unless unforeseen circumstances hinder
them to go on duty.
 MARCH 28, 2022 – held a general meeting with the arranged schedule to every
department, with corresponding topics regarding Staff Suggestions, Concerns, and
Issues, Head Nurses weekly meeting, Daily report to Supervisor, and Staff Schedule
concerns.
 MEMO for a maximum of 2 sleeve patient Admission in ICU distributed to
Surgery Department and Anesthesia Department. Are
PHARMACY
 Inj. Diazepam and Midazolam are not available in Narcotic Department.
 Some expired and NA unit stock medication not replaced because not available in
Pharmacy.
 ICU-IPP related to Medication reviewed done by Miss Aisha (Pharmacy Quality
Control) - editing ongoing.
LABORATORY  ABG calibrator and cartridge not available in ICU as well as in the Laboratory.
EDUCATION,  List for Annual Virtual Lecture topics and designated lecturer passed to Nursing
LECTURE and EXAM Office, no confirmed of date and time of lecture yet.

SECURITY  No visitors allowed to go inside ICU unless approved by the Doctor, As per Hospital
protocol due to COVID-19. Limited only to 2-5 minutes with proper PPE.
 Need security in front of ICU once there is patient, some relatives are not following ICU
protocol and precautions. Staff were advised to call security if needed.

MEDICAL SUPPLY  ABG Calibrator and cartridge not available.

 SPILL KIT EXPIRED
 LIST OF ALL EXPIRED and NOT AVAILABLE SUPPLIES GIVEN TO HOSPITAL STORE
FOR ENCODING AS ADVICED BY DR. AWAD.

GENERAL,
MAINTENANCE AND  ELECTRONIC BALAST of fluorescent, changed inside ICU patient room.
CLEANER  Changed busted florescent lamp in ICU in Hallway and CFL light in Store room.
 Curtains sent to Laundry every week when there is patient and as necessary.
 Terminal Cleaning done every patient discharged.

INFECTION CONTROL  UPDATED BICSL CARD PROVIDED TO ALL STAFF BY INFECTION CONTROL NURSE.
 March 22, 2022 - MOH Infection Control Survey done.
 All ICU staff reminded to adhere the ICU protocol on admitting and discharging patient.
 All staff reminded to ask the TAWAKALNA for patient visitor and to let them visit
approximately 5minutes only as per Infection Control Protocol.
 All items and supplies due for sterilization sent to CSSD.

PATIENT AFFAIR  No Issue

DIETARY  WE HAVE NEW MALE DIETICIAN.

BIOMEDICAL
 6 Mechanical Ventilator ( Nellcor) that was sent to the University still not return.

 Request for two O2 sensor and 2 battery for Mech. Vent. ( Nellcor) – given to BIOMED
as per advised by MR. ADAM. – STILL NOT PROVIDED.

 MEDUMAT Transport ( WEINMANN) a portable mechanical ventilator – NEED

SYSTEM UPDATE- MR. ADAM reminded.

STORE  ICU consumable supplies/ stock requested every month. Still some stock not available
and provided limited supplies.

COMPANY STORE
 Provided some of the stocks and supplies not available in the Hospital Store.
KITCHEN  No issue.
