Idea
Delivery service of newspapers, magazines, and books home to home for residents wherethey live in
densely populated areas like condominiums and apartments, mainly {newspaper and magazines).

Uniqueness
Home-to-home delivery of newspapers and magazines is not exercised. graduated students find their
job by reading the newspaper, also a lot of people read social, political and economic issues in
newspapers and magazinesin the center of the city (AddisAbaba), therefore the habit of reading is there
and by taking this opportunity if I persuadethose people who live around the condominium I can deliver
newspaper and magazine and their favorite books with the lowest delivery service cost. My customer
will benefit from my delivery service

 the customer can read at any time on their comfortable home

 the customers will save their energy and money (i.e. transportation)
 increase their reading intent

Market
I am delivering these newspapers, magazines, and books for start in Addis Ababa densely populated
areas mostly condominiums and I will give a home to home delivery service.

Expected cost and profit

To buy newspaper=20birr/newspaper

For transportation=200birr/one week

Profit

The cost to buy the newspaper +2 birr / newspaper =2birr/newspaper

The cost to buy the magazine + 3 birr / magazine=3birr/magazine

Let,for example, if I take Gelan or Koye fiche condominium there are more than 300 blocks. In one block
at least 25 residents therefore if I persuade a minimum of 3 residents to deliver for them in each block.

This example shows the delivery of only one newspaper or magazine for each resident weekly. This
doesn’t consider the delivery of magazines and books, maybe I can persuade more than 3 residents in
each block and they can get more than one of my services from each resident.

300block x 3resident/block= 900resident

Profit= 2birr(resident/newspaper) x 900(newspaper/ resident)=1800birr weekly

1800birr x 4=7200birr monthly

Net profit = profit – transportation

=7200 – 200=7000birr monthly

Action
 For a start-up, I will borrow money to buy newspapers, magazines, and books
 Promotion my delivery service
 Persuading my customers to deliver for them

Capital
For the start-up,I can borrow money from my friends up to 10,000 birr to start and run this business

Team
For a start-up, I am only doing this delivery service in limited areas but after a few months I will have an
assistant to expand this service
