RoCide IS2 is an EPA registered, non-oxidising biocide used to

sanitize reverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF) systems and

RoCide IS2
membranes. RoCide IS2 may be fed continuously or intermittently to
the feed water of these systems, depending on the specific needs for
each system. A treatment program that includes RoCide IS2 with other
Avista Technologies cleaning formulations will result in more effective
membrane cleaning and decreased cleaning frequencies.

Performance Instructions for Use:

RoCide IS2 offers a variety of performance
benefits:
• Highly effective in reducing bacterial growth
and slime build up on a variety of membranes.
RoCide IS2 is applied on line on a
continuous basis. Typical dose rates are 3-
6ppm, although a higher dose rate is often
necessary to prevent growth in a non
sterile system.

• Compatible with thin film composite and
cellulose acetate membranes.
• Kills bacteria, fungi and algae.
• Degrades rapidly and naturally to comply
with strict environmental discharge
regulations.
RoCide IS2 dosage can optimised by
conducting reductase tests at the plant site.
