Signs it's time to

Quit your Job!

You're being micromanaged

If you're a top performer and still

being micromanaged, your manager

is no longer watching to make sure

you're doing the right thing. They're

watching to keep control over the

situation.
You've lost faith in the company
There are many reasons for loss of

faith in the leadership of your

company - are they breaking

promises? Poor decision-making?

Lying or doing downright shady

stuff? Are they risking employee

weakness for higher profits?

If you said YES to any of these
above move on.
There is a values-clash

We can get so wrapped up in the day

to day "doing" of your jobs that it's

hard to stop and think about how

we feel and why. Check in with your

values - if you are not on board with

fossil fuels, you aren't going to be

happy, no matter how great the job

is, at an oil extraction company.

You've outgrown each other

Sometimes you're ready to leave a

job purely because you've evolved in

one direction and the company or

industry is evolving in a different

one. Do your values, needs and

priorities still align with where the

role and career will take you?

You're burnt out
If you used to love your job, but now

you're over it, feeling stressed and

exhausted, you may be burnt out.

A classic symptom of burnout
is that quitting will feel like the
only option. Make sure you rest
before making a decision to look

objectively and then consider

your options.
It's a toxic environment

If your work environment makes

you feel disrespected, stupid or not

important in any way, trust your

gut that it's time to leave. Your

long-term mental and physical

health will thank you.
