1. ASSIGNMENT-FILM REVIEW (20%)

FILM TITLE : WHEN CHINA MET AFRICA

A. OBJECTIVES:
This film review is designed to achieve CLO1.
CLO1: Describe critically the main components of development studies with referral to
economics, political, social processes and issues.(C2, PLO2).

B. INSTRUCTIONS:
You are required to write a review of this film documentary. The film title is “When China
Met Africa”.

C. REPORT WRITING GUIDELINES:

1. Assessment Criterion –20% for the writing report.

2. Format and spacing: Arial, 12 font and 1.5 spacing.

3. Submission: Week 5

4. Writing report: 700-1500 words.

5. Plagiarism: The plagiarism report should be attached in the appendix. No more than 20%
similarities.

6. If you do use quotations from books, journals and or websites then these must be placed
inside quotation marks and referenced ideally.
