Fourth quarter meeting for Committee on Migration

and Development members

Highlights

 The 1st agenda of the meeting was about the CMD membership. Regulations and
standard operating procedures about the members were discussed.
 The reorganization of the CMD officials for 2022-2025 was also discussed. The
following are the agreements on which offices the eligible candidates will be coming
from.
o Chairperson: OWWA
o Co-Chairperson: PSR Msgr. Jerry Biton
o Vice Chairperson: NEDA Regional Director
o Secretary: OWWA
 The Updates from the Balikabayanihan was Entrepreneurship Program was
presented by Director Allan A. Ignacio of OWWA IV-A. He presented the background,
objectives, target participants and the trainings that they conducted.
 Ms. Aileen Constantino of ATIKHA presented the Updates on International
Organization for Migration (IOM) and USAID-PDAP projects. She presented about
the crest project that aims to address the main challenge of the lack of access of returned
OFWs and their families to socio-economic services provided by the government. The
project is part of the project of IOM. For the USAID-PDAP project, she presented the
Developing Sustainable Community Based Initiatives to Counter Trafficking in Persons
(CTIP) in region 4A. The phase 1 of this started on October 1, 2020 and completed on
June 30, 2022. The extension of its implementation is from October 1, 2022, to June 30,
2024.
 The PCMD accomplishment reports about the activities on Counter Trafficking in
Persons (CTIP) and Migration & Development Programs & projects were presented
by the following
