My zero-waste practice focuses on conserving solid waste through reducing consumption and reusing and recycling household items. By following the 3Rs of reduce, reuse, and recycle, some types of pollution can be diminished, leading to improved human health if these practices are consistently followed. These zero-waste practices changed my views on overconsumption enabled by science and technology by showing me the negative environmental impacts and allowing me to realize I don't need to constantly buy new items but can reuse materials already available.

My zero-waste practice is all about conservation of the consumption of solid waste. It also promotes the 3Rs which are Reduce, Reuse and Recycle of the things that are often seen in the house. By following and doing these things there will be a possibility that some types of pollution will be diminished. There would be a big change and improvement on human’s health if these practices will be continuously practiced. These zero waste practices change my views with prevailing science and technology issues by simply showing me the bad effects of too much consumption of the application of science and technology. It made me realize that I don’t need to buy such things for me to have something to use. For example, we don’t need to buy vase for us to have a place to plant with. With just some used soft drink cans and bottles we can make an environmental and recycled vase that we can even design.
