Course Objectives:
To enable the learner -
 Identify logical relations among statements; and analyze logically complex statements
into their truth- functional or quantificational components.
 Distinguish valid deductive arguments from invalid ones.
 Use truth tables and formal proofs to analyze the logic of arguments and to assess
their adequacy
Course Outcomes:
After studying this course, students should be able to:
 Understand the basic concepts of LOGICAL REASONING Skills
 Draw conclusions and/or make decisions based on analysis and critique of
quantitative information using proportional reasoning.
 Effectively justify and communicate their conclusions in ways appropriate to the
