SUMMATIVE
ASSESSMENT
- SA1
05 29 DECEMBER 2022
18 - 14 2021
GRADE 1 3
While we are all set to begin with the Term-End-Assessments
(1st Summative Assessment or SA1), we would like to reiterate
that students are not expected to rote learn (memorize or
reproduce answers from the workbook). The question paper
will have skill-based questions, therefore reading the content
will help students apply their understanding. The outcome of
the SA1 will help us to plan remedial and enrichment
activities for the children and offer deeper insights into the
academic practices and learning outcomes.

scores of the child in this semester will re ect in the overall
grades in the report card, if you want the child to be

Must Read
We would also like parents to be serious about the assessments and ensure that
even if you are traveling or are occupied, students should be able to attempt the
assessment. Our teachers have taken a lot of effort in training and designing skill
based question papers for the students.
The requirement of an assessment is to gauge our teaching practices along with the
evidence of skill development in children. Therefore dear parents, it is imperative
that children should be given the freedom of attempting tasks independently.
Support can and should be given at the instructional level only. We would like to
know how well the student has understood the concepts taught in class and can
apply that knowledge in different context. Our aim is NOT to access how well the
students remember and how well they can reproduce that out of memory, rather
their understanding.
2. Since the questions are skill based, copy-pasting answers from the net is
discouraged. No marks will be given if a case of plagiarism is identified.
3. Encouraging students to attempt and answer to the best of their ability should be
the focus as against the marks.
5. The School will not be celebrating the toppers of the class or publish class level
performances. Every child is distinct and we will celebrate the learning and
progress of each child.
