CLONING

Cloning is described as the process of creating an exact copy of DNA fragments, cells
or organisms. The copy, which has the same genetic structure as the original, is referred to
as a clone. Animal cloning was successfully done in the year 1996 in Scotland to a sheep,
but when it comes to human cloning, much controversy is met by the idea of giving life to
an exact replica of a person.
