APPLICATION FOR CONVERSION

I hereby humbly apply for conversion to the rank of Assistant Lecturer in the school of General
Studies, (Humanities) or Elect/Elect Engineering Department – whichever I am found suitable.
I am currently a registered professional teacher with professional membership certificate from
Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). I have a Master of Education (M.Ed) Degree in
Educational Technology (2017) from National Open University of Nigeria, a Post Graduate Diploma
Certificate in Education (2012) from Usman Dan-Fodio University, Sokoto, and HND (2007) and ND
(2004) certificates both in Electrical Electronics Engineering Technology from Auchi Polytechnic,
Auchi.
I am presently a senior technical officer in Electrical Division of Works and Maintenance
Department with almost 5 years working experience in Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi. I also have over
five (5) years part-time teaching experience in a number of privately owned Senior Secondary
Schools within and Outside Edo State and three (3) years full-time teaching experience from MANUS
Comprehensive Secondary School, Onitsha, Anambra State.
I am particularly interested in this post as it would enable me gain experience of teaching in a higher
institution of this kind with the opportunities of professional training and development that this
brings. I hope to contribute my long proven teaching skills and pedagogy for the development of
students of Auchi Polytechnic in particular and Nigerian Students at large.
