Join us for an exclusive event on the 1st of June @ 15:30 to
meet Arno Smit, co-founder of FundedByMe and entrepreneur by
heart.
As a young kid he tried and failed in many ventures, selling
popcorn at the swimming pool, a carwash where kids washed
under his name and took a commission, and eventually
discovering his love for technology.
As a high school student, he quickly identified a problem/need
with the traditional large retailers selling desktop computers,
and took the liberty to negotiate deals with OEM suppliers to
reduce the costs and bring more affordable computers to his
classmates.
Arno studied as a software developer and applied business in
most of his ventures. He has lived in Australia where he started
an aviation company, then moved to Sweden where he co-founded
FundedByMe, a platform connecting investors and entrepreneurs,
that eventually went public on the stock market in 2018. In his
own time, he advises start-ups on go-to-market, product, and
funding strategies and sees Africa as the next place for
innovation.
Arno is also a co-founder of BioCertica, a health tech platform
using genetics for precision selling.
