Subject: Clarification regarding applicability of Central Service Rules

With the notifying of the Union Territory of Chandigarh Employees

(Conditions of Service) Rules, 2022, vide Government of India, Ministry of Home
Affairs' notification No. G.S.R. 230(E) dated 29.03.2022 as republished in
Chandigarh e-gazette portal on 30.03.2022, which came into force w.e.f
01.04.2022, the Conditions of Service of persons appointed to the services and
posts, in Group A, B, and C under the Administrative control of the Administrator,
Union Territory, Chandigarh shall be same as the conditions of service of the persons
appointed to corresponding services and posts in Central Civil Services of the
Government of India. Rules/ Guidelines/ Instructions issued by the Govt. of India are

applicable to the employees of Chandigarh Administration w.e.f. 01.04.2022. An

illustrative list of Rules/ Instructions of the Government of India is as under and the

same is not exhaustive:
