Title: Mental Health is the core of human-being.


Specific Speech Purpose: To helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy
decisions.
Statement: People can be vulnerable to a different types of mental problems and what are the possíble
effects from the people who have a mental disorders.

INTRODUCTION

I. Attention step: The latest data released on November 11 ( ABS - CBN News), A report
likewise said 5 in 10 young Filipino adults has moderate to severe mental health, it was seen
that during this January to September, thousands and thousands of calls are being received
by them (National Center for Mental Health) which is associated with suicidal/depression
ideation. What's even more concerning is that in just a span of a year, the Philippine
Statistics Authority (PSA) reported that deaths caused by intentional self-harm or suicide
rose by 57.3%³. and the majority of those calls are from millennials and Gen Z, meaning
those below 30 years old.

III. Clarification step: Mental health encompasses emotional, psychological, and social well-
being, influencing cognition, perception, and behavior. It likewise determines how an
individual handles stress, interpersonal relationships, and decision-making. .

CONCLUSION

Summary Step: There are no ideal answers to this challenging issue. But there is no denying that limiting
this pandemic is currently the most immediate problem. Until this point, we've seen more government
funding allocated to truly important issues and increased mass testing initiatives. For those who are
struggling to attend online class, because they're highly affected by the pandemic, don't think of it as a
barrier for you to be able to study. I think as an individual we must know our duties or responsibilities to
stand up for ourselves. Our emotional, psychological, and social well-being are all parts of our mental
health. It influences our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Additionally, it influences how we respond
to stress, interact with others, and make good decisions. Every period of life, from childhood and
adolescence to maturity, is vital for mental health.
