YouTube Video List

1. Crash Course: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUCEeC4f6ts

A very entertaining video to keep you watching with some mild jokes. This one has a lot of
visuals in the video, and, you can see a little bit of the style of clothing. I believe you can learn a
lot about what is going on with this video. It is super helpful for being one of the first sources to
come up. It’s trusted and people can rely on the information given by him in a clear and concise
way.

2. ITS HISTORY: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NLX-AmdyNg

This video has a lot of real photos and it makes you feel like you know a little more than just
hearing a voice talk. Seeing these pictures really shows the difference in clothing style now and
then. Back then it was more just get ready in something; most of the clothing is either really rich
or really poor. Rich clothing is made with colours while the poor is made with cheap materials.
(Video talks mostly about Sun Yat-Sen.)

3. Daisyvalle06: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKWQO2-yGJ0
This is made by a small youtuber but really gave me more information that I wanted. I really
liked how he did the project. They did state that they think it’s not that good, but I think it
matches up well with what notes we have. (NOTE there is mild swearing in the writing at some
points.)

4. Jabzy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9c_2DlEWAQ8
This is a quick 3-minute video on the topic. It’s fast paced and helps with understanding the
revolution. The video is only about the Xinhai Revolution. I really like this because if someone
needs to watch a quick video to know a little bit about the revolution, I can show them this.
They can then get a brief understanding of what went on and how everything has changed since
that point in time.

5. Oliva Xu: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHXiO_GsoLI

This video is very informative. It reminds me of the videos where they do a “Draw My Life”. It
makes me feel like I’m following an adventure while it is happening, so I can get the most
information out of these clips. It is also nice how she uses maps as well as add her own drawings
to the video to make it pop and have accuracy. If you need a quick video to watch, you should
for sure watch this.

6. History Hustle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPFy7OKvNE8

This guy had travelled to China to show a palace of where a lot of history was made. He also
talked about everything important and only showed facts to the video. There was no opinion; it
was all facts to the watcher. I find that is really important for people who watch some of these
videos. (Note the only downside to the video is that it has a little bit of background noise, which
can get people upset. Not me, however; I found that it was calming to hear noises from the area
instead of just his voice.
7. HistoricalAssocUK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jX19pHsUs8E
There are no videos but there is a lot of information to be told. It’s one of those videos you can
just pop up In the background and simply listen to it. It really is crazy how much you can learn by
just hearing someone talk. I like the way he speaks; it’s nice and slow so you know you
understand what he is saying. I personally think it’s also nice how we can get out of Canada and
America and going to the UK. The real only complaint I have is that it sounds like it’s recorded
inside a box and there are no pictures to the videos.

8. Peter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWQchJ2Azig
This video is showing the pro-republican forces taking over the Qing dynasty. This is important if
you want to see where the revolution started: Wuchang. (That’s why it’s called the Wuchang
uprising!) The revolutionaries started by taking over the South coast of China, then steadily
conquered Northbound. The video mentions a Ceasefire occurring during the overthrow. This
was a very significant event as it marked an attempt peace. This, however, failed, as the
monarchy preferred violence. All in all, this video demonstrated the movement of revolutionary
troops across China very accurately.

9. Audioversity https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0UoVUswwtE it reminds me of like a

rollercoaster type of talking, like it really keeps you attracted. Yes, there is no pictures but it has
all accurate information to my groups notes. The video tells you mostly all-important
information and not a lot of non-important information, this video also talks well and slow. The
only thing I don’t like about this is that it has a hard English pronunciation to the names so it
sounds off, Which makes it harder to listen to but that’s minor detail.
10.
ntddiscoveringchina https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNgcPbot0FU they show real photos
and not drawing like most of these the information in these videos. Accurate information, is
easy to understand and easy to keep In your head and all the important parts she raises her
voice and lowers and changes the music to match it this video will get you a great understanding
about the Xinhai revolution and also talks about the after affects of the revolution so that’s
bonus points.
