A synthetic resin made from the polymerization of vinyl chloride. It is a lightweight and rigid in its pure
form and could be manufactured in a flexible “plasticized form”.
Polyvinyl chloride was first prepared by the german chemist August Wilhelm von Hofmann, in
1872. However, the discovery of the chemical compound was not patented until the year 1912
by another German chemist August Klatte.
Today, Polyvinyl chloride or PVC is the second mostly produced and used plastic. It is used in an
variety of ways in domestic and industrial products. It could be used in many forms from
raincoats, to window frames and indoor plumbing.
In construction, it is commonly see in in the creation of pipes that are being used for electrical
insulation, or water ways such as the sewer line system and the waterline system. With its flexibility,
pipes could be easily molded into desirable shapes with the use of heat gun as PVC has a low
heat resistance with melting point at 160˚C. Although it is commonly used in piping, PVC could
also be used in coverings and roofing. PVC boards are used in sheds and nurseries made of PVC.
It is a better substitute in shed roofing as it is more cost efficient and lightweight than its tin
counterpart. PVC boards are also used as Thermal insulations in roofing to prevent heat as it is
heat absorbent.
Panelite is a Cast polymer series panels which is used as a wall panels that could be used in interiors. It has a good
aesthetic value as it is has hoyneycomb patterns in its interiors which is in between translucent facings. However,
the honey comb patterns are not just for aesthetic value as it is structurally designed for more strength and
consistent rigidity at a very low density. This panels have a high strength to weight ratio which means that with its
weight, it can carry a lot more force than it looks. It has a consistent rigidity at a very low density. When bonded to
similarily lightweight facings, every honeycomb cell wall acts like the web of an I beam forming an extremely strong,
stiff yet lightweight material.
The Panelite panels would also be able to have light load bearing such as countertops, tables, workstations and
display pedestals. Wall panels made of panelite may give a degree of privacy as it is translucent and transmits,
pixelate, color, or diffuse light, allowing designers to conceive their porject’s use of light, texture and spatial
definition in innovative ways. It is also versatile as it could be easily drilled and machined using standard
woodworking tools.
GRANITE
Granite is a common type of felsic intrusive igneous rock that is granular and phaneritic in texture.
Marblecare PH supplies high-quality granite and other natural stones for both big and small projects.
Santol or cotton fruit is quite common in the Philippines. What most people don’t realize, however, is
that the santol fruit is ideal as a wood alternative. While the material is less dense compared to other wood
variants, it is actually very easy to work with. With correct curing, this wood is highly resistant to wood
borers, making it ideal to use as a skeletal framework.
FLOAT GLASS
Float glass is a sheet of glass made by floating molten glass on a bed of molten metal, typically tin,
although lead and other various low- melting-point alloys were used in the past. Our ExtraClear® float glass
is Guardian Glass’ standard base glass, which can support any type of application, be it in the residential,
architectural or specialty segment. Its light transmission is higher than standard base glass products found
on the market, and it is the most adaptable of Guardian Glass’ products.
Natural cork is the bark of the cork oak tree -- a completely renewable, sustainable and recyclable
product. Once harvested from the tree, it is made into various cork products including wine stoppers.
Instead of going to landfills after use, these used wine corks can be recycled into building materials.
Only natural cork bottle stoppers have the ability to be recycled. The recycled wine corks are ground
up into granulated cork or cork grain. This cork grain is then used to make many other cork products
including cork flooring, cork wall tiles and bulletin boards.
Corks, as a natural product warms ad enriches any interior. It blends well with other decors and
furniture. Corks are naturally resilient, quiet and sustainable that it is commonly used in many schools,
libraries, offices, dining areas, museums, churches, and other commercial areas.
WOOD GLUE
Wood glue is used for bonding wooden materials. Polyurethane is a one type of wood glue that is
most durable and versatile. From the company of Gorilla Wood Glue, it offers good quality of oil and water
based adhesives.
STRUCTURAL ADHESIVES
Structural adhesives are used for metal, glass, magnet and motor assembly. This type of adhesives
shortens the assembly times associated with industrial metal and glass bonding. It is also ideal to use in
bonding automotive latches, glass fixtures and furniture.

INTERIOR LIGHTING
An LED lamp or LED light bulb is an electric light for use in light fixtures that produces light using
one or more light-emitting diodes (LEDs). LED lamps have a lifespan many times longer than
equivalent incandescent lamps, and are significantly more efficient than most fluorescent lamps, with some
LED chips able to emit up to 303 lumens per watt.
Similar to incandescent lamps (and unlike most fluorescent lamps), LEDs come to full brightness
immediately with no warm-up delay. Frequent switching on and off does not reduce life expectancy as with
fluorescent lighting. Light output decreases gradually over the lifetime of the LED.
The directional emission characteristics of LEDs affect the design of lamps. While a single power
LED may produce as much light output as an incandescent lamp using several times as much power, in
most general lighting applications multiple LEDs are used. This can form a lamp with improved cost, light
distribution, heat dissipation and possibly also color-rendering characteristics.
WINDOW OPERATOR
A Hinge is typically used on casements PVCu windows that incorporates an adjustable friction screw to
adjust the opening resistance of the sash. It Stays the sized to suit the dimensions and weight of the sash,
and are fitted in pairs (top and bottom).
CONTENTS ENVIRONMENTAL
Reinforced concrete (RC) (also called reinforced cement concrete or RCC) is a composite
material in which concrete's relatively low tensile strength and ductility are counteracted by the inclusion of
reinforcement having higher tensile strength or ductility. The reinforcement is usually, though not
necessarily, steel reinforcing bars (rebar) and is usually embedded passively in the concrete before the
concrete sets.
Reinforcing schemes are generally designed to resist tensile stresses in particular regions of the
concrete that might cause unacceptable cracking and/or structural failure.
Modern reinforced concrete can contain varied reinforcing materials made of steel, polymers or
alternate composite material in conjunction with rebar or not. Reinforced concrete may also be permanently
stressed (concrete in compression, reinforcement in tension), so as to improve the behaviour of the final
structure under working loads

HYDROCERAMICS 04 21 13
Hydroceramic works due to the cooling effect provided by evaporating water. By absorbing large
quantities of water, the hydrogel pellets that are spread throughout the composite material expose a large
surface area for evaporation to occur, which both decreases the temperature and increases the humidity of
the surrounding air. In turn, the material is therefore responsive: the cooling effect is greatest when the
surrounding environment is warm, but when the surrounding is cool little evaporation occurs.
Bentonite is a type of clay that has characteristics of cohesion, binding, sealing, and thickening. It is
usually gray in color while having the consistency of fine powder when processed. When bentonite is
installed below grade as a waterproofing membrane, it becomes hydrated with the moisture that is naturally
present in the soil and forms an impermeable barrier that absorbs and expels water and most chemicals, such
as acids and salts (sodium bentonite).

DESCRIPTION
FUSED WOOD DERIVATIVES BINDED BY ADHESIVES
Engineered wood, also called mass timber, composite wood, man-made wood, or manufactured
board, is essentially composed of wood and various types of adhesive or other methods of fixation. It is
created by using a real hardwood veneer on the top surface, with the core consisting of adhering layers of
plywood together. The plywood core layers, usually made with high density fiberboard, are stacked in
opposite directions and glued together. Its cores are made with a tongue and groove system, much like a
laminate, that allows fhfpor a click and lock installation. After the core is assembled, the hardwood veneer
is adhered to the top.
