RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

1. Research Design
A research design is the arrangement of conditions for the collection and analysis of
data in a manner that aims to combine relevance to the research purpose. Descriptive
research can be defined as either quantitative or qualitative research methodologies,
but instead, it can utilize elements of both, often within the same study. The term
descriptive research refers to the type of research question, design, and data analysis
that will be applied to a given topic. Descriptive statistics tell what is, while
inferential statistics try to determine cause and effect.
My research topic is the study of social media platforms to increase the customer
engagement . In this study, both qualitative and quantitative methods have been
used.

2. Type of Data used

Data is collected in two types:

Primary data: The primary data are those data, which are collected raw and for the
first time. And happen to be original.
The primary data collected in this study -

information related to the objectives of the research. The questionnaire was prepared
and floated to social media users.
Secondary data: Secondary data means data that are already existing i.e., they refer
to the data, which have already been collected and obtained by someone else. When
the researcher utilizes secondary data, then he/she need to investigate various

It is a very easy method of sampling in this, various participants are selected on the
based-on availability and willingness.

4. Sample size
A sample size of 122 respondents was taken so that the conclusion is not biased. In
the whole process, the methodology was adopted because it would give accurate
results so that the research study to be on success.

5. Data analysis tool

The questionnaire was created with the medium of Google form and analyzed
through the pie charts. Also, the results were taken into a spreadsheet to analy
