WRITE ABOUT A TRUE STORY THAT YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED OR KNOWN,
WHICH IS RELATED TO THE LESSONS YOU HAVE LEARNT FROM THE
COURSE (EMPATHY, ANGER MANAGEMENT, SELF-DISCIPLINE, STRESS)
PART 1: Introduction (about 250 words)
When I first came to this course, I still didn't know how and where to start. But when I started
studying, I understood the benefits that this subject brought me. I was exposed to a very
interesting course, new knowledge on how to handle problems when facing difficulties in life,
how to talk when meeting new people that I have not met. have been and are used to them
working together in groups to discuss immediate problems and come up with sensible solutions
and have outdoor activities together. In this course, I was also exposed to a lot of different
situations when given by the lecturer to find the most reasonable solution together, helping us to
be able to observe and handle the situation faster. Not only that, but my friends and I also
learned about social and environmental issues and had lively discussions and debates and gave
presentations related to these issues, helping me to more likely. speak in front of people more
confidently. In addition, in this course, I also gained a lot of new knowledge for myself about
how to solve problems that I encountered from many different angles of things and phenomena.
PART 2: Body (about 1000 words)
This is a story where I am also a character in that story. It happened when I first entered the
university environment, where everything was new, teachers and friends were very new and
strange not only that but I also had to live in a completely new place and away from my family
and close friends. I have a very bad point that I can't talk to strangers so I have very few friends
so I want to share with everyone how I overcame that.
I don't even know where to start, maybe in the summer 2 years ago when I found out I got
accepted into the university I wanted, I was so happy but still couldn't go to school because of
the pandemic. It was very complicated, so the first lessons when I entered university, instead of
being a teacher and new friends, but a phone and computer screen, I also had a lot of difficulties
in learning such as road problems network transmission or inaccessible e-learning software and
many other problems. Difficulties like the one just now were just the initial troubles I
encountered when the epidemic was still raging, when I was able to go back to school normally,
the real troubles started here. When coming to Thu Dau Mot city, the first thing I feel is that it is
a very crowded and bustling place and the first and most important thing when I first come here
is to find myself a place to stay first. I was lucky enough to find a hostel near my school and my
new life started, I had to do everything by myself like cooking, washing clothes and many other
things, at first I was surprised because I wasn't used to it but after a while I forgot about those
things. it's not too difficult.
On the first day of school, I was very shy to talk to strangers, so when I came to class, I chose to
sit alone and I hardly talked to anyone for the rest of the class except when giving a speech or
the teacher. When the teacher called me, I spoke and my day ended like that with nothing new.
And the following days too, because of my fear of talking to people, the first few weeks I almost
didn't have any new friends, even the people living around me I didn't talk to them, so time I felt
very lonely at first, I tried so hard to talk to someone like when I wanted to talk, I was afraid so I
chose to be silent. Just like that I felt like I was almost invisible among everyone but at that time
I was away from home and didn't know anyone so I was very sad and felt lonely and with
studying also more so I felt stressed more than ever. At that time I had no one to share my
difficulties with so I wanted to give up but then one day I got my first friend after almost a
month of studying at the school.
It was raining that day, but I didn't bring an umbrella, so I had to stay at school to wait for the
rain to stop, when a male friend approached and asked "why don't you go home?" I was
surprised and shy to talk so I tried to gather up my courage to answer him "I don't have an
umbrella" and he gave me the umbrella and said "you can return it to me later" and he left after
that. I also said thank you and quickly went home. But the surprise was that he lived only 3
rooms away from me so I brought an umbrella for him and he also asked for my social media
account so I could talk about my studies so I happily agreed. He and I confided more about
studying, family, friends, I also felt that I was no longer alone, he and I often shared our
difficulties and solved problems together. each other. He helped me a lot in talking to people
around me by meeting and talking to a few of his close friends, at first I refused to meet his
friends because they were people I had never met before which made me feel very scared to
meet them, but he told me "be confident in yourself don't be afraid to talk with somebody" when
he took me to meet his friends, he introduced me to his friends, they said "hi" to me, at first I
was quite shy but tried to say "hi" back to his friend. he told me to sit down and talk to everyone
while he went to buy water for everyone, at first I just sat still and didn't say anything because I
was still quite shy but then his friend talked to me and I also paid answered his questions, after a
few minutes I felt more confident and started talking to the rest of his friends, everyone got
along very well. So I no longer feel shy talking to someone and now I got myself a new friend
so thank you very much.
The topic that I chose was trying to be confident in myself. Because when you are confident,
you will not be afraid of anything, that will help you overcome many difficulties in life and
move forward, confidently communicating with people around to make more new friends so you
don't have to be as lonely as I am for a long time and that's one of the most important lessons
I've learned.
PART 3: Conclusion (about 250 words)
After the story I shared, I also have my own lesson that is to try to be more confident in life as
well as when communicating with people around and bravely overcome fear and move forward.
Don't miss the opportunity to be exposed to new things in life and make lots of new friends.
Let's open our hearts to be able to accept the wonderful things around us, should not always be
afraid to accept something new, but should accept it so that we can adapt to the new living
environment around us. Through this story, I have learned a lot of new experiences for myself as
well as new plans in the future such as participating in live talks so that I don't have to be afraid
to talk to strangers, participate in social networking events social events community events,
learn some new skills to help me in my future job, complete current courses and get the best
results
