VALUES
Bayon, Mariane Christine Joy D.

The AFP Core Values assist the military community in preparing for and strengthening their
knowledge and understanding, particularly regarding the topics they must study and be
outfitted for the nation they will defend and serve. To fulfill their obligations to protect the
environment, nations and their inhabitants must put these fundamental principles into practice.
Hence, defining the fundamental principles and criteria for behavior is essential. The AFP Core
Values are indicated through six qualities. The most potent commitment a soldier can make is
the first one, which is known as "love of country." It is not evaluated in terms of wealth, status,
or affiliation.

That is the maximum benefit a Filipino soldier might receive. Valor comes in second. Power,
strength, courage, and ability are the four facets of valor. These traits will enable us to face
our fears and complete our missions. You have power if you have the voice to speak up. To
defend oneself, one must be strong. The capacity to accomplish anything, no matter how
challenging, is courage. The capacity to communicate, engage in combat, and take action is
the final ability. As a result, we will be able to regulate our fear in both practical and ethical
situations thanks to our courage. Take ownership of our deeds, mistakes, and choices. Confront
obstacles and act morally. Report both successes and shortcomings in an open and honest
manner.

Honor comes in last. In the military, honor is the most important quality. We will become true
soldiers if we have this. The President Quezon asserts that we shouldn't wear the uniform of a
soldier if we don't understand what honor is. Also soldier who cherishes his or her country would
undoubtedly dedicate their entire lives to the duty of defending it. Second, virtue is the
capacity to face fear head-on and complete one's task with force, tenacity, and courage.
Being a soldier requires courage and composure, especially when carrying out a task or
assignment. It also requires confidence in your abilities. Third, honor simply entails acting
professionally while adhering to one's sense of value, decency, and respect. A soldier must also
adhere to moral ideals, defend the law, and acknowledge the values of the Philippine Army.

Fourth, while each soldier is accountable for their individual duties and missions, their primary
responsibility is to serve and defend the nation. Duty also refers to carrying out one's
responsibilities as a soldier in terms of the law, civics, and politics. moral responsibility Last but
not least, solidarity is the act of showing respect and caring for the citizens of a nation. On
the other hand, the standard of behavior, which comprises of principles and rules for them to
follow and comprehend, is also important for the military profession.

In conclusion, in order to have a positive influence and overcome all obstacles, we must be
aware of our own purpose and have a clear vision for the area. As a nation's servant and as
one of our state's leaders, we ought to be better able to appreciate our value to the nation. It
should be noted that the AFP Core Values and Standards of Conduct are also essential for the
military career. These impart information, rules, and moral standards on how to be a great and
worthy soldier. There are six guiding principles: patriotism, virtue, honor, loyalty, duty, and
solidarity. As opposed to this, the norms of conduct include the pursuit of excellence, pride in
uniform, discipline, professionalism, adherence to the law, and deference to authority.
