English and Chinese. The minimum study period is 4 years. Qualified
graduates are awarded graduation diploma and Bachelor degree. UESTC
offers Pre-University Program for those who could not meet the admission
requirement of undergraduate program.

 Introduction
Based on the advantageous educational resources, the international Pre-University Program of
University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) provides 12-32 weeks intensive
training for international students who have graduated from high school and are interested in
pursuing undergraduate degrees at UESTC.
The Pre-University training provides international students five modules such as Chinese language
learning, cultural adaptation, and undergraduate integrations in “Double First-class University”.
After the preparatory study, international students who pass the assessment and meet UESTC
admission standards can directly enter the undergraduate program.

Teaching Objectives
We are aiming to provide the tailored counseling guidance for international applicants, which help
them accomplish their study at UESTC, to improve their understanding of Chinese education and
culture, and help them successfully complete the language and study adaptation process.

Curriculum
Training period: Spring semester (March-July)
Autumn semester (September-January)
Training content: Chinese language Mathematics Physics Foundation courses of the major,
Cultural Adaptation lectures, Cultural Immersion Activities.

UESTC Chinese study program provides international students a
diverse range of Chinese language and culture courses, which
helps the students gain skills necessary for living in
China，pursuing degree，and communicating effectively in
Chinese-medium workplaces.

Elementary Level: Beginner

Intermediate Level: Chinese language level is above HSK3
Advanced Level: Chinese language level is above HSK5

Courses are composed of three categories: language, culture,

and practice.
Chinese Language: Chinese Listening & Speaking, Reading &
Writing
Culture and Tradition: Selected Lectures on Traditional Chinese
Culture, Chinese Society, Chinese Folk Custom
Language Practice: social investigation and other teaching &
competition activities outside the classroom teaching.
