Ms. Shery Ann Labadia

Statistics and Probability Subject Teacher

Math Head Department

Dear Ms. Shery Ann Labadia,

Greetings of peace and good health!

We, the students of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) from grade 12

Sikhayan block A, are conducting a research study “The Efficiency of Microsoft Math Solver as

a Digital Application for Pre-Synchronous in Learning Statistics and Probability in Grade 11

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Students” for our partial fulfillment of our

requirement for the subject Practical Research 2. In connection with our study, we would like to

ask your permission in conducting our study in regards with the two sections of grade 11 STEM

students that you are handling in terms of the Statistics and Probability subject. We will be

conducting a Pre-Test 2 days prior to the posting of the materials from week three and four. The

Pre-Test will be conducted online with the use of Google Forms. These questions will contain

definitions of terms and practice problems about lessons. After calculating and identifying

students that failed the Pre-Test, there will be an intervention through face-to-face classes that the

teacher will conduct for the students. In regards to the class that the teacher will conduct, the

digital application “ Microsoft Math Solver” will be used during their lessons. And lastly we

will be conducting a Post-Test that will be done face-to-face. These are the same set of questions

that have the same topic and content as the Pre-Test activity. The Post-Test will serve as a
measurement if the intervention class was effective for STEM students if they understood the

lessons from the selected week.

Thank you for your kind consideration regarding this matter. God Bless.

With sincere appreciation,
