YOU WANNA GET GOOD?

WELL HERE’S
HOW!!!!!!!!!!!
TIP 1: GET A GOOD SKIN (OR SOMETHING ELSE U PREFER)
IF YOU WANNA READ ALL THOSE DENSE AS FUCK NOTES, U
BETTER GET SOMETHIN THAT U CAN ACTUALLY READ!!!!!!!!!

Circle skin Bar skin Arrow skin

TIP 2: Use your preferred scroll speed
Getting good doesn’t mean you can read fast notes!
Having a good scroll speed depends on what skin you have
decided to use. The scroll speed to be used varies on the skin.
But first, make sure you scale your speed fixed!
A good scroll speed depends on your skin, if you have selected:

● circle skin, your scroll speed should be around 24-28

● bar skin, your scroll speed should be around 25-30

●arrow skin, your scroll speed should be around 26-30

these numbers are what the majority use on each type of skin.
TIP 3: Get a good keybind
A good player’s trick up his sleeve are his keybinds. It varies from
player to player. How do you get a good keybind?

1. Think of the comfort of pressing the keyboard and your wrist

placement. If your wrists are off the table, move your keyboard forward
to ensure that your wrists won’t get hurt immediately.

2. Body position. You wanna become good, but at the same time, you
don’t wanna become a hunchback for all reasons. Make sure that you
have a good posture when you’re playing (or when you’re using the
computer pretty much)
3. Chair. If your table is tall, make sure your hand placement in
the table is viable enough that your wrists won’t get hurt over
time.

4. Picking good keybinds may vary on your keyboard’s position.

Make sure that your hands feel comfortable whenever you pick
a keybind. For most users, DFJK would be the best place to start.
Feel free to experiment on keybinds and see what fits you best.
TIP 4: Offset calibration

Getting a good offset calibration is a combination of various factors.

From your keyboard, your resolution, refresh rate, to your system, all of
it matters when it comes to offset.

Most players tend to use 0ms (universal offset) and feel like they’re
hitting a bit early/late (judging from the music + their taps if they can
hear it).

How do you get a good offset?

- Go to this map (osu tutorial)
https://osu.ppy.sh/beatmapsets/77753#mania/217976 and play. If you
feel like you’re hitting early, move your universal offset to the right side
(late hits), vice versa.

- If your monitor is 60hz and can be changed to 75hz, feel free tochange
your refresh rate to 75hz.

PS: calibrating your offset may be

done through trial-and-error by
means of playing various maps and
testing your accuracy.
TIP ?: know the patterns (?????)

Have a quick peek at this short pattern repository if you

question “what the fuck is this?” (next slide)

And this link too if you want to know more patterns

TIP 5: GET A GOOD JUDGEMENT (or hits?)
A player’s trick up their sleeve are the judgments used during
play. What they prefer seeing more, they get used more and
rely on these images to get good accuracy.
TIP 6: LONG NOTES

Ever had a hard time playing long note maps? You get a lot of
PERFECT hits instead of max? It’s normal! If you wish to
improve at your “ratio” in terms of Long Notes, start with 1-2
star LN maps (mostly release and hand coordination) and
continue from there.

Still having a hard time after a bunch of LN maps? Try getting

a new body+tail for your LN!
TIP 6: LONG NOTES
For starters in pattern repository, here are additional for long notes!
To be specific, we have a shield, reverse shield, and an inverse.

LN Charts also have different kinds, Coordination, Technical, Density

and Wildcard. These terminologies are usually said for tournaments
but can also be done if players want additional insight to long notes
as a pattern.
TIP 7: CHORDJACKS

Jack off then play

TIP 8: STAMINA

Feeling too tired after 2-3 minutes of play? This one might help!

1. Play 5-6 minute charts, depending on your star limit range.

Recommended mappers for stamina charts are IcyWorld and NikoSek
for starters.

2. Hop on Etterna, play on J5-J6 (OPTIONAL)

3. NEVER force yourself to play if you’re not feeling it. Refrain if needed.
TIP 9: LOVED/GRAVEYARD MAPS

Your training doesn’t necessarily require it only being ranked

maps. There are loved/graveyard maps that you might find even
more fun than ranked ones. Of course, these different charts are
preference, but for most players, These kinds of maps are the
way to go in terms of improvement.
TIP 10: CONSERVING STAMINA

Map’s too long and need to save up stamina for upcoming harder
parts? These might help!

1. Do not press hard on your keyboard. This tends to use up more of

your stamina and feel tired easily. Same statement can be said the
same for accuracy training through 1-3 star maps.

2. Tap lightly on slightly denser sections. This helps you feel light.

3. Pause if you need to!

TIP 11: PLAY MORE
This is considered “rude” for a lot. But without a doubt, the
only visible tip that you can find.

Playing more means opening yourself rooms for

improvement. It doesn’t have to be overtraining, and you don’t
need to overtrain. Make sure to get a good schedule on
anything else before the game! If you really have a lot of free
time, then playing more is really the tip.
TIP 12: Enjoy the game.
Having fun in the game means you’re motivated to play more,
and eventually improve without even knowing it. Keep up that
smile!

Never feel demotivated over a keyboard smashing game. If

you feel like playing, go ahead! Having a bad day? Don’t force
yourself to!
