Beauty, Expressiveness, and Functionalism of a House

A house is not a home, but a house is the reflection of the home. We can say that a
house is just a building, but what we do with the building shows what kind of persons
are living inside it.
A house is beautiful depending on how people perceive it. Different people have
different opinion about the beauty of a house. Some say that a house is beautiful if it is
big, concrete, full of furniture, and expensive, but some say that a house is beautiful in
its own simplicity.
The owner’s personality is also expressed in the house. Its style, design and
architecture reflect the residents’ thoughts, feelings and emotions. The colors and
decoration may depict the persona of the owner. The owners’ aura can also be sensed
in a house, its vibrance shows the happiness inside, while its gloom may show the
sadness inside.
Still, many consider the functionality of the house the main criteria in building one. It
must support living in order to be called as functional. It should contain the necessary
parts such as bedroom, dining and kitchen, living room and other parts of a house.
Beauty, expressiveness, and functionalism constitute a house. Most importantly,
comfort and safety should be present to enable the family living in it to make the house
a home.
