An ethogram is an inventory of the behaviors of a species and they are beneficial to tell what is
a natural reaction to certain stimuli. You need the background info on a species before you can
produce a proper hypothesis about why it does something. The three ways to describe behavior
in an ethogram are structure, consequences and rational. Consequences are the assumed
effects of the subjects behavior on itself, enviroment and other organisms. Cats and dogs are
bred and raised to respond in certain ways around humans. Crickets don't have these instincts.
The X axis is the independent variable because you can designate behaviors but you cannot l
Time is the y axis because you can change how long and how short the observations are.
The amount of food is abundant enough that foraging is not required also too much stimuli from us
