Beside the major areas of psychology, it also focuses on expanding the knowledge of students in
other areas of social sciences such as English, Islamic Studies, Sociology, Pakistan studies,
International Relations, and Communication to upgrade and bring advancement in their academic
as well as professional lives. It also helps to make them more confident, self-reliant and research-
oriented so that they can perform well in various domains of Psychology.
● To promote connections with the departments, institutes and with the greater community
to make them able to work for common good.
Objective 1
To teach psychology in such manner that will introduce them dynamically to its extensive
scope.
The objective is aligned with the mission statement of department and institution by
providing quality teaching in all the domains of psychology to enhance the theoretical as well

employing various methods through which students can apply learned knowledge for the
community good. Students are encouraged to work on community level which enhances their
connections and motivation towards the wellness of society. Students are directed to arrange
awareness programs related to mental health and its importance in various fields of life in
which students from other department also participate.

Audio-Visual aids are used for preparation and delivery of lectures including different
subject related videos, PowerPoint slides, students’ PowerPoint presentations and
keeping in mind the need of time, updated google classrooms and Zoom is also used for

Standard 3-2: There must be adequate support personnel for instruction and maintaining
the laboratories.
A lab assistant for Psychology lab has been hired for assisting and providing consistent
support and guidance to students during lab hours. However, deficiency of a proper lab in
terms of space and resources creates hindrance in achieving the goals of the program.
Standard 3-3: The University computing infrastructure and facilities must be adequate to
support program’s objectives.
Elective courses are offered in last two semesters after students complete all the pre requisite
requirements for specialization courses.

Required courses outside department are general courses. Coordination office in presence of
Principal and HODs of respective department arrange meeting for course load discussions
and assigned them to the FMs.

Process Ensures That Teaching And Delivery Of Course Material Emphasizes Active
Learning And Met Course Learning Outcomes.
It is ensured through the following means:

Evaluation by Head of the department.
Course Evaluation by the student.
Teacher Evaluation by the Students.
Indicate how frequently this process is evaluated and if the evaluation results are used to improve
the process.
Standard 5-5: The process that ensures that graduates have completed the requirements of the
program must be based on standards, effective procedures and clearly documented. This
process must be periodically evaluated to ensure that it is meeting its objectives.
The department follows Air University assessment and grading policy which clearly state the
graduation criteria. The evaluation depends solely on a students' performance in examinations of
all courses of the program. Even if he/she passes all the courses in the program, students is
required to have a CGPA of 2.0 or greater to graduate. Student is also required to pass the
evaluation of his Final Year Project and demonstrate that adequate skills have been acquired
through a proper implementation of knowledge in the Final Year Project.
Criterion 6: Faculty
Intent: Faculty members must be current and active in their discipline and have the necessary
technical depth and breadth to support the program. There must be enough faculty members to
provide continuity and stability, to cover the curriculum adequately and effectively, and to allow
for scholarly activities. To meet this criterion, the standards in this section must be satisfied.
Standard 6-1:There must be enough full time faculty who are committed to the program to
provide adequate coverage of the program areas/courses, continuity and stability. The
interests and qualifications of all faculty members must be sufficient to teach all courses,
plan, modify and update courses and curricula. All faculty members must have a level of

competence that would normally be obtained through graduate work in the discipline. The
majority of the faculty must hold a Ph.D. in the discipline.

Full time Faculty.
Standard 6-2:All faculty members must remain current in the discipline and sufficient time
must be provided for scholarly activities and professional development. Also, effective
programs for faculty development must be in place.
Describe the criteria for faculty to be deemed current in the discipline and, based on these
criteria and information in the faculty member’s resumes, what percentage of the faculty
members are current. The criteria should be developed by the department.
Teachers development courses are offered by AU which are mandatory for staff to attend
like PCEPT, Training workshops.
Teacher training workshops are also organized by the college management.
FMs also participated in conferences and its relevant activities and perform role as
session chairs, presenters etc.

Describe the means for ensuring that full time faculty members have sufficient time for
scholarly and professional development.
To accomplish its cherished mission, the department places equal weight-age on the
dissemination of knowledge (teaching), the creation of knowledge (research) and the application
of knowledge (service). This culture is instrumental in giving the students a technical versatility
and driving intellectual curiosity with which to carry out applied research leading to the
development of science and technology. The faculty is encouraged to develop its professional
skills and remain current in areas of specialization and technology. In this regard, faculty is
provided utmost support from institution for attending conferences, workshops and training
opportunities. Each faculty member of the department avails opportunities to improve their
education and professional training.
Faculty Motivation
College offers a competitive pay package as well as resources like transportation allowance,
medical allowance and living allowance to maximize the job satisfaction and to enhance the
quality of work. College also provides conducive learning environment to the faculty.
Need some revision in this regard is required as well.
Standard 7-1: The institution must have the infrastructure to support new trends in
learning such as e-learning.

Internet facility
In order to access internet, systems are allocated to all faculty members and admin staff. Wi-Fi
is available to all students as well as staff members.
Computer labs
4 Computer labs with around 25 work stations each. These labs are fully equipped with latest
available machines that are centrally connected on domain-based network. These labs provide
the facilities of internet, individual email address, individual secure profiles and separate storage
areas. Students have the access of computer labs from morning 8:00 am to 2:00 pm five days a
week.
Library
FBCOEW has an equipped library to fulfil the needs of students. The library enriches learning,
teaching, and research initiatives by providing timely access to the high-quality scholarly
information and learning material in a variety of formats. Library has a print collection of books,
novels, newspapers etc. There are discussion rooms for group study and six fully equipped
cubicles with computers in the researcher’s room. In addition to this, computers are available in
magazine room for online access to digital resources.

Details of classrooms and faculty offices are mentioned in subsequent paragraphs:
Faculty Office
FBCOEW has 3 main staff rooms for FMs which have cabins and workstation. The faculty office is
provided with all basic facilities.
Classrooms
FBCOEW has more than 30 class rooms which are shared and used by all Departments. Some of
the rooms have multimedia and internet facility.

Standard 7-2: The library must possess an up-to-date technical collection relevant to the
program and must be adequately staffed with professional personnel.

FBCOEW has a library in which students are provided with digital resources to access
scholarly articles and journals.
Standard 7-3: Class-rooms must be adequately equipped and offices must be adequate to
enable faculty to carry out their responsibilities.

FBCOEW class rooms are well equipped with Multimedia and switch boards, white
boards and rostrums etc., however in some classes Multimedia provision is still pending

internet facilities.
Standard 8-1: There must be sufficient support and financial resources to attract and
retain high quality faculty and provide the means for them to maintain competence as
teachers and scholars.
Career development opportunities
The department has defined regular and transparent promotion procedures.
PhD Funding is not available.
Research Support

Research support is provided to all the faculty members interested in research and
development activities in their areas of interest, however financial aids and incentives are
not provided.
Level of adequacy of secretarial support, technical staff and office equipment
Secretarial and technical Support:
Facilities that are provided to faculty are explained briefly as follows:
1. Coordination office
Coordination office provides all the necessary support related to time table, classrooms
allocation, assign batches on CMIS and reappear adjustments.
2. Computer Facilities
Each faculty member is provided with a computer workstation for academic and research
activities. The stations are equipped with all required hardware and software and kept updated by the
network support staff.
3. Internet Facility
Internet facilities are provided to each faculty and staff member on the computers allocated to them.
“FREE WIFI” have been provided on the campus for wide internet access on laptops and hand held
devices.
4. Technical Support
The faculty and staff use technical support provided by the College. The services include computer
network support services, infrastructure support services and transport services.
8.2 Graduate Students Standard 8-2: There must be an adequate number of high quality
graduate students, research assistants and Ph.D. students.
