1. Who are the beneficiaries of agrarian reform in the Philippines? Why?

As the amendments stand, the only qualified beneficiaries are farmers (tenants or lessees) and regular
farmworkers actually tilling the lands, as certified under oath by the Barangay Agrarian Reform Council
(BARC) and attested under oath by the landowners. This is the case regardless of whether the land is
owned outright or leased.

2. What is the most significant agrarian reform law in the Philippines?

Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Law of 1988 (Republic Act No. 6657). An Act instituting a comprehensive
Agrarian Reform Program to promote social justice and industrialization, providing the mechanism for its
implementation, and for other purposes.

3. What are the benefits of agrarian reform to the farmer beneficiary?

Although it was able to alleviate some of the strain caused by high unemployment and boost agricultural
production and productivity, the agrarian reform was not successful in preventing a large-scale migration
of rural residents from mountainous and other economically disadvantaged areas.

4. Do you think agrarian reform is a failure in the Philippines? Why?

In today's world, agriculture must contend with not one but two significant challenges. One of them is
the depletion of agricultural land caused by factors such as erosion and human activity. The other issue
is the ever-increasing lack of variety in agricultural products.

8. Who imposed tax in the Philippines? Why?

The national as well as the local levels of taxation are both covered by Philippine tax law. When we talk
about national taxes, we're referring to the national internal revenue taxes that are levied and collected
by the national government through the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). When we talk about local taxes,
we're talking about those that are levied and collected by the local government.

9. What is way to improve our revenue system in our country? Why?

It is recommended that the significant reliance on the external sources of the local government finance
be minimized in order to strengthen the revenue base of the local government. At the same time,
efforts to enhance the internal sources of revenue should be promoted.

10. Can we implement another tax reform law in our country? Why?

No, Taxes are coercive. Individual income taxes are obligatory payments that must be made by taxpayers.
If the taxpayer continues to refuse, he will be subjected to a number of negative penalties, including
possible incarceration. The disposable income of taxpayers is reduced as a result of taxes, which leaves
consumers' needs unmet.

11. What is the importance of government revenue?

The primary reasons why governments pursue revenue collection are to finance the provision of goods
and services to their constituents, both individuals and businesses, and to carry out their function of
redistribution.

12. What is the most important source of revenue as of now in our country? Why?

In the vast majority of countries, including almost all of the world's nations, the most significant source
of revenue for the government comes from taxes.
