Dear Sir,

Reference: LETTER APPEAL TO YOUR OFFICE

I am writing to your office for an appeal for a matter that I have been used at court
No. 1 Panguma town by one Andrew Maada Gbomgbontho Moosa of Panguma,
alleging that I have claimed his cocoa & coffee plantations bush at Talama village,
which I have disputed and we have appeared before the court severally.

Upon the court chairman’s intervention/Adjudication in that matter, I have been

subjected to several/so many humiliations, intimidations, exploitations and several
others that I will no longer be confortable to continue with that matter in his court
with witness and evidences and below are some of the issues that will not allow me
for the fear of even my life and the ruling.

1. The court chairman used his power on me by allowing the chiefdom speaker
and the paramount chief of Lower Bambara to give witness on the matter
without them being witness neither joinder parties on the said matter from both
conflicting parties (Plaintiff or Defendant).
2. During the process of the said matter, both chief Amara Gando (chiefdom
speaker) and P.C Faba, backed by the paramount chief (chief Alimamy M.
Farma) ordered youths to demolish my dwelling house for which they have
denied the said disputed bush not a society bush in the open court and the
paramount chief’s letter he wrote to the court chairman and up to date we are
confused or we are in doubt why the paramount chief of Lower Bambara, the
chiefdom speaker of same Lower Bambara and the paramount chief of Dodo
chiefdom ordered youths to demolish our dwelling houses since they have
denied and attested in the court that, the disputed bush in the court for which I
was sued for is not a society bush at the same Talama village, but later the
matter in that court was/has been attributed to poro society case only for them
to have lue way/ as an excuse to demolish our houses (three family dwelling
houses).
3. As I am talking to you, we have been banished or chased out of our very
homes, threatening to even kill us and the said matter has been converted to be
preceded in our open court for the first time seen, for up to three months now.
4. The court chairman, since the start of that matter to date, I have not been given
chance to cross examine either the plaintiff neither the chiefdom speaker (Chief
Amara. Gando) who is not;
a. A witness
b. A joinder party
c. Plaintiff in that matter
5. During the course of the matter in that same court, the matter was manipulated
by the above mentioned chiefs (P.C of Lower Bambara, chiefdom speaker of
Lower Bambara and P.C of Dodo chiefdom) to be PORO SOCIETY case and
demanded 1 bag rice, 1 tin red oil, one goat and cash (One thousand and Five
hundred Leones) 1, 500.00 to paid by each of the three of us that lead to the
demolishing of our dwelling houses.
6. Since that time to date none of my witness have been allowed to talk on to the
time and the three of us have been banished through their actions (demolishing
our dwelling homes) for up to 3 months now even we have been separated with
our families and it is in the course these terrible circumstances, the court
chairman have rulled the said matter against me.
7. Above all it was upon the chief Gando’s statement on that matter in the said
court (not a witness, joinder party or plaintiff) and the letter that was written to
the court chairman by our P.C of Lower Bambara, the court chairman passed
judgment on the matter in my absence, attached is copy of the letter.
Upon the above few treatments among others melted on me in that court among
others, I am asking you to use your good office and to see reason for peace,
security then the safety of my life and my family, to review that matter at the
appeal court please, please Sir.

Yours sincerely,

Morie Lahai
