REFLECTION PAPER
Write a brief summary of what you have learned from the course and how did it help you to
become a better person. You are also encouraged to write your comments/suggestions for the
improvement of your program.

In engineering’s webinars, I’ve already heard many times that Statics of Rigid Bodies is
one of the course subject foundations in civil engineering that we really need to understand. It's
a critical program for our course because we'll be utilizing it throughout our civil engineering
careers so I think that is it a difficult one and later on, I found out that I wasn’t wrong. Taking this
course subject, I found it a very challenging one. Fortunately, despite the fact that this curriculum
is delivered via online classes, I was able to grasp all of its topics. However, I still wish that it was
taught in us, face-to-face so that, I or rather we, will be able to understand all of its concepts,
more clearly.

As I’ve mentioned earlier, it is a difficult course program for us to complete since it

requires a lot of mathematics such as various problem solving etc. and even numerous formula
memorization and for this reason, it improved my ability to evaluate or analyze things,
particularly in the free body diagram and analysis of structures lessons.

During prelims and midterms, I can still manage to handle all the topics in these parts.
However, by finals, the topics became more difficult. I had a hard time in the utilization of the
method of joints and sections in structural analysis. Gladly, I found the latter topics about
centroids and moment of inertia, easy. I enjoy locating and computing the different shapes’
central points and inertial properties.

Although I found Statics of Rigid Bodies as a hard one, I truly enjoy most of it, and I’ve
learned a lot of things from this course subject.
