SELF-REFLECTION

There has been an ongoing argument whether entrepreneurship and innovation are actions and decisions
carried out by those who are either believers of destiny or those said to make a path for themselves in life.It is
either you conform to the status-quo(believe in destiny) or in your own capabilities.As an individual coming
from a place where opportunities abound certain factors limits my enterprising and innovative growth.There
have been many set backs in my life which has lead to me doubting my personal qualities and efforts that will
help me achieve my aims as an entrepreneur such as the economic state and some personal issues.

The state of my home country economy is nose-diving because of inflation.Cost of living expencies is on a high,to
get a three-square meal is extremely hard,and cost of materials needed to start an SME is ridiculously high.No
adequate power supply to run the supposed SME.These economic factors hinders me from becoming fully
enterprising.
The ability to take risks is limited to tried and tested,less risky enterprising ideas which is depriving me of going
all out as an entrepreneur should, and even letting go of some profit rewards.The ability to take risk is decisive
and able to calculate if my decisions and actions are likely to be successful

Entrepreneurship and innovation comes with changes in ways businesses are being done.I need to be able to
adapt to changes in technology and new ways of doing business,to be oriented towards the future.I also need to
develop a restless,strong drive and high energy levels to be an entrepreneur. Innovation comes with a
willingness to work long and hard when necessary to complete tasks. Developing time management skills also
need to improve to complete any project within a given time frame.

Being creative comes with my personality, although I am less likely to have radical innovative ideas with game
changing impacts, but very good at finding and applying skillfully new technologies to my work. Ideas flow
through me when I am more relaxed in the quiet moments.(Eureka moments)

Furthermore, i need to believe in my capabilities to achieve certain goals I set for myself, to be more optimistic in
life than being a pessimist. To be confident and hopeful about the future, having a strong determination to
ensure my objectives are met even when difficulties arises. To be goal oriented, setting challenging but realistic
goals. Responsibility and persistence in the pursuit of my goals.

As an inspiring entrepreneur, i need to rely on my ability, confidence and charisma to be able to drive myself
towards my goals, opinionated and ready to defend my ideas and views. I need to cultivate stronger independent
leadership qualities if I want to start my own enterprise.
I have strengths in some of the enterprising features and maybe enterprising in some contexts.I am happy to
work on a limited number of projects and can be enterprising also either within employment as an intrapreneur,
or in my leisure time through voluntary community projects.There is much I need to do to help me learn more
about business enterprise and the economy.
