What is the focus of your lesson? Recognizing environmental print around their community. (EN2BPK-Ia-
3)

Learning Objective/s
 Students will be able to identify logos that are present in their environment.

Materials:
-activity sheets
-logos
-chart

Lesson Procedure:
The teacher would be introducing the concept of environmental print in one’s community by asking
questions to the student that would also direct her to her every day experience.
For example, what is her favorite restaurant and where does she eat the most with her family.
Other examples also include asking the student about what favorite toy store does she like when going to
malls.
Also, what are her favorite food and drinks to have.
The teacher would then process what the child have answered and will start showing different logos found
in their community.
The teacher would then ask the student to identify what establishment/brand is being represented by each
logo shown in front.
Assessment:
The teacher would be preparing a graphic organizer sheet for the student, and in that organizer are
specified categories where the child would then identify if this logo belongs to the restaurant places,
clothing brands, drinks, or the category for foods and also toys. This would test the student’s capability of
identifying the things around them and of which category do they specifically belong.

Task for Parents to Follow-Up at Home:

For the parents, they could take their children to stores and then have a meaningful conversation with them
afterwards like, “What was the name of the place where we ate our dinner last night?” In this way, the
student would then remember the place of where they ate and would have it noted in her mind what this
restaurant place means to her and what are the distinct features that this restaurant have aside from all
other places where they ate dinner.
