RUBRIC IN
MOODLE
ASSIGNMENT
1. Click “Add an activity or resource”, choose Assigment, click Add.
2. Add assignment as usual. Fill out the setting you want to set such as name and availability
3. Go to Grade section and set grading method to “Rubric”. Click Save and Display at the bottom of the setting page.
4. You can define new grading form from scratch or choose from template

Choose “Create new grading form from a template”


Choose “Define new grading form from scratch” if you want to use previous marking guide you set or
if you haven’t used any marking guide before from available site-wide template
and want to set from scratch
5. Set the rubric: the criteria and the points (with its decription). Save when you’re ready.

If you want to change the setting later.
6. After your students submit, grade assignment as usual. You can click grade button.
7. Grade the assignment by clicking on each box. Click save.
What Students See on Their Page?
The rubric is also shown on student’s page on their submission page, so it can help them to create good-quality assignment.
After we grade them and provide feedback, the rubric is also shown to student, so it can help them to evaluate their own submission.
