Create a Student Account Do not use your

Sign Up OR Sign In

Join Your School
Type in the zipcode of the school to find your school. Find your school. It’s important
to join the right school because you will be able to see assessments shared by
colleagues in your school or district.

Specify Your Grade and Subject
You will be able to create multiple classes at a later step, so to start just choose one
grade/subject that you teach to initiate your account.

CREATE YOUR CLASS

Create a Class using “Manage Class”
Once you have created your account you need to create a class or classes depending
on the subjects or number of periods you teach. From the Dashboard you can select
the Create New Class button, or you can go to the Manage Class tab and select Create
Class.

Enter Class Name, Grade, Standards, etc.
You will be prompted to enter your class, grade, subject, standards and course. You
can change the picture. Select Save, then you are ready to add students.

ADD STUDENTS
Script: Now that you have created your account, you can set up your class by Adding
Students.

Go to Manage Class
I’m going to mention 2 ways you can add students to your class. You don’t have to do
it now. There are help videos on the Edulastic YouTube channel showing exactly how
to do each method.

Activity: Lets Create a Class
We will:
Create an Assessment with 5 Questions
○ Add 2 questions from the Question Bank
○ Build 3 Questions from Scratch

Create an Assessment
Go to the Assessment Tab and click “+New Assessment” You’ll have a choice between
three ways of creating an assignment. We’ll start with Creating an Assignment from
Scratch. Choose Create a New Assignment under Create an Assignment from Scratch

Choose Questions from the Item Bank
Search by keyword
Filter by grade,
standard, question
type, item bank,
difficulty, etc.
This puts you into the search for questions. You can type in a keyword at the top like
“fractions” or “Shakespeare”. You can search multiple grade levels and standards. To
choose a standard click in the box.
You can click on the question to see more detail about it.

Create Your Own Questions
In addition to choosing from the item bank, you can author your own questions. Let’s
add one to our assessment.

Choose a Question Type
Edulastic has more than 30 question types. If you click on the tabs you’ll see the Math
& ELA Tech enhanced ones. We’re going to practice making some of the easier
question types today.

Choose a Pre-Built Assessment
Alternatively, you can create an assignment using SnapQuiz. Go to the Dashboard and
click on the + or go to the Assignments Tab and click Create New Assignment. Select
SnapQuiz and upload a PDF from your computer or Google Drive
