How to become Education Partner / Testing Center

Step 1: Go to https://pythoninstitute.org/openedg-academy-program/ and click APPLY TO BECOME


ACADEMY/TESTING CENTER .

Step 2: Enter the required information (name, contact information, etc.).

Step 4: Fill out the fields for the Academy Manager.

Step 5: Select answers which describe your organisation.

Step 6: Read Terms of Service and check the box if you agree. Next, click on a checkbox below to confirm that you are
not a robot. Now you can click on the button at the bottom of a page and Submit application.

Step 7: Congratulations! We received your application.

Step 8: Sign in to your email account and check if you received our “Welcome to the OpenEDG Academy Program”
email. Click on Complete to continue.

Step 9: Choose username and password for this account and click Submit. Note: your username should contain at least
5 characters.

Step 10: Check your mailbox for further instructions.

Step 11: If you received the following email, it means that your account was created successfully. You can start using
your account and see for yourself what OpenEDG has to offer.

Step 12: Go to https://edube.org/academy/dashboard to sign in to your Academy Manager Account.

Step 13: This is how your website should look like after signing in.

My Organization

“My Organization” tab allows you to manage your company’s profile and your Academy Staff list.

Profile
Here you can see general information about your organization.

Academy Staff
Here you can see how many staff are added, what is their status or role in the academy.

Adding new Staff:
Step 1: You can add new staff members by selecting My academy > Academy Staff > Add staff.

Step 2: Enter email address of the person you want to add and choose a role for your staff member (Proctor/Instructor).
Click “+ Add” button to confirm your choice.

Your new staff member will be already visible on the “Staff” list, however, you will notice that their status will be
“Invitation sent [date]”. You can either wait for this person to accept or cancel the invitation.

If your staff member will choose to reject the invitation, you will notice that their status is changed to “Invitation
Declined”.

If your staff member will accept the invitation (and successfully registers at OpenEDG if such account was not created
before sending the invitation), you will notice that their status is changed to “Active since [date]”.

Editing Access:
Now, you can click on “Edit Access” and select access options for this particular Staff member. Select which
courses/exams can be accessed by your proctor/instructor. Click “Save” to confirm your choices.

Academy Resources

Here you can download your academy’s certificates and check what is your organization’s status.

Learning Center

Go to “Learning Center” > “Classes” to see the list.

Click “Manage” to see the list of students in your class.

To see your student’s results, click on “Gradebook”.

Creating Class:

Step 1: Please got to “Learning Center” > Classes > “Create Class”.

Step 2: Create new class by entering a name, selecting the course, adding instructors, and selecting the status. Click
“Create” to continue.

*Make sure that the instructor/instructors you want to add to this class is/are already added to your Staff.

Step 3: Next, you should be informed that “Item ‘New class’ has been successfully created’”.

Step 4: Now you can check your “Classes” tab. Your page should resemble the screenshot below. You should be able to
see such details as the name of the class, name of the course, the number of students assigned to this class, and the
class status.

Adding Students:

Step 1: Click on “Manage” to unfold additional options for this class.

Step 2: You should be able to use the following options.

Step 3: Click on “Invite Student” button. Enter student’s email address and click “Invite”.

Step 4: You will be informed that “The student has been invited”. You will be able to see this student on the list, but
his/her status will be “Invitation sent (date and time of sending the invitation)”. Now you should wait for the student to
either accept or reject your invitation.

If the student you invited will reject your invitation, you will see that their status is changed to “Invitation declined (date
of rejecting the invitation)”.

If the student you invited will accept your invitation, you will notice that their status is “Active since [date and time]”.

Students

Go to “Learning Center” > “Students” to see the list of all of your students.

You can filter students by “First Name”, “Last Name”, and “Email”. You can check the box next to any criteria that
interests you.

Click on the arrow on the right from the “Filter” button to unfold additional criteria of those which you selected (as
shown in the screenshot above).

Exams

Exams

Go to the panel of the left side and select Testing Center > Exams. Here you can see the list of exams which
currently are available for your organization. You can also read short description of the exams, find out what is
their Exam ID, type, or add notes.

Voucher’s list and exam details:

To see exam sessions, go to Testing Center > Exams and click “Show Sessions”. You will see the list of all
exams which were delivered in your organization. You will also be able to exam results, download score
report, add share note, or export this data to csv file.

Assigning Vouchers:

Step 1: To assign candidate go to Exams > Exam Instances, select the exam, click “Show” (same as in the previous
screenshots), enter candidate’s email address, and click “Assign”.

Step 2: If you assigned candidate successively, you should see this candidate on the list.

Step 3: If any of the candidates you assigned will take the exam, you will notice that the status of the exam will change.
You will also be able to check the results and score report for this exam.

Exam Sessions

Go to Testing Center > Exam Sessions to see the list of exams which took place in your organization. This tab includes
such details as exam results, score reports, candidate’s email address, and many more.

Exam sessions can be filtered by “Session ID”, “Voucher Code”, “License Code”, “Voucher Status”, “Candidate email”,
“Candidate First Name”, “Candidate Last Name”, “Proctor”, and “Exam Date”.

Test Candidates

Here you can see the list of all candidates and their exam sessions.

Test candidates can be filtered by “Email”, “First Name”, and “Last Name”.

Filtering options

In most tabs you can filter the results of your search.


First, you should click on this filter button. It will allow you to select boxes with the criteria for a given
category.

Next, click on the arrow on the right from the “Filter” button to enable the remaining options (as shown in the
screenshot above).
