work together) to make a whole or something
- Define ecosystem, habitat, population and community. Ecosystem is a community of living
or non living organisms that are in interaction. Habitat is the place where different species
live. Population is a group of organisms of the same specie living in the same specific place
Community is groups of different organisms living in the same specific place.
- Define food chain, food web and identify trophic levels. Food chain is the representation
of energy passing from one organism to another. Food web are interconnected food from
organisms.
- Draw food chains and food webs
- Describe how energy flows through ecosystems .When one organism eats other only the
10% is passed to the next trophic level.
- Identify, distinguish and draw pyramids of biomass, numbers and energy. Numbers is the
one that show how many organisms are involved. Biomass is the amount of mass ofn the
organism.
- Describe the importance of decomposers in nutrient cycling
