Food chain, Food Web, and the Importance of every Species

In my understanding, a food chain is a systematic succession of organisms that

begins with producers and ends with decomposers, and a food web is a system of
connected food chains. The food chain process starts with the producers (an organism
that generates its food and food for other organisms), followed by the succession of
several consumers (primary, secondary, tertiary; creature that consumes other
organisms). Lastly, it is followed by the decomposers (breaks the nutrients in the "stuff"
that has died and restores them to the soil). Energy flows in a specified direction in a
community, including producers, consumers, and decomposers. There is no way to
generate or destroy energy; however, move from one level to the next, passing through
many creatures. On the other hand, the food web are the interconnections of different
food chains. It depicts the several routes via which plants and animals are linked.

The presence of each organism in the ecosystem is essential for each one of it
has its role, such as plants are the primary source of food in the food chain and bacteria
are the one that nourishes the soil for plants to grow well. Ecosystems with more species
have more stability. Species with a high genetic diversity and multiple populations that
have evolved to a wide range of environments, for example, are more likely to withstand
disturbances, illness, and climate change. It provides us with a broader range of food and
medications. That's all.
