What is in it that appeals?

I have chosen this course due to my love for computing and it fits my interests in digital
media, data studies and even social indices. I am quite fond and proficient with computer
programs such as: premiere pro, after effects, blender, excel etc.
Since young I have always enjoyed studying data, as boring as that sounds, I have always
found it intriguing how data and technology is being made more and more available to the
public, we live in an age where everyone has access to all kinds of data and all kinds of
media, the world has never before had such easily accessible information and its’s all at the
tip of finger tips. I want to make sure I join the right industry going forward, I really think this
course is the right choice for me.

2 Currently studying the Extended Diploma in Creative Media and Technology at BPC…tell
the admissions tutor what projects you have been working on…identify any projects you
have worked on outside of college. Identify all relevant software that you have experience
and knowledge of. (approx.250 words)

I am currently studying access to media in Poole College I have chosen this course due to, as
said previously stated, my interest in general media and my love for video editing as well as
needing a way to move forward in my life by finding a way to progress into further studies.
I have a lot of hobbies that range from video editing and photography to studying trends,
SEO and overall how data is being distributed. I used to have a “business” that involves
buying used and broken phones for cheap, that a lot of people believed to be beyond repair,
repairing them then selling them for a profit. I have made ads for some youtubers with over
100k subscribes and also some companies such as Shpock and Vans unfortunately they
never made it past the screening process.

3 While on BPC course you have gained experience in academic writing including, analysis,
research, evaluations and report writing – this is just as important as the practical!!!

4 Hobbies, sports, work experience, activities – shows that you have different skills which

I like creating edits of movies and shows that I’m watching, nothing professional just for
memes. I enjoy running, skipping, calisthenics and boxing. I have been boxing since the age
of 7 and it really taught a lot in regards to discipline and always striving to better yourself
and learn from your mistakes. I always try to apply myself to everything I do and strive to
put 110% effort into everything I’m doing.
