LT 7: One’s Learning Experiences During the OJT/Internship

As a part of being a college students it is a requirement for us to have Our interp in order to it is not pass
the course but all about that, it is about learning through experience. As the old saying says, “Experience
is the best teacher. I’ve been on an On-the-Job-Training course for about 3 months now, and one of the
hardest issues to face is how to prove yourself, that you are really doing your job and that you deserve a
good grade, not only to your supervisor but also to your workmates.

I’ve learned a lot of things in 300 hrs. of on the job training but I’ve noticed that there are still other
things that I have to improve one of it is my verbal communication. Nervousness and shyness are always
when it’s you’re first time. For many reason, and lot of stuff playing on my mind. Such, I do not know the
people in the rhu Tayasan and I do not have any actual experience. That made me quiet at first. Trying to
observe on how to get along with the employee.
In my first day of my OJT, I feel so nervous, and excited as well. I enter the rural health in tayasan they
orient me their rules and regulations and their dress code as well, She also assigned me to the front
desk. Second day I still adjusting the environment I realized that ( de lalim mag trabaho na). I already
assisting patients. There are times I make mistakes. In other day they gave a task that , I need to write
the patients records ,and I it hard to understand the penmanship of Dr. Zuniega but then on by the help
of my mentor I understand.

As week pass by I improve my communication skills and technical skills I can easily assist patients and
write the patients records without help of my mentor.

I have learn a lot of things in my OJT, some of it I adopt and apply to myself and some of it helps
develop my skills and enhance my knowledge. I was so thankful that I have my OJT in this Rhu Tayasan. I
learn to be more patient in every task that given to me, to be nice and humble in every person I interact
and most of all to LOVE MY WORK.
